This is exactly the problem I have but in an opposite way to which you have indicated . Respect should be given to talent irrespective of age and success. Instead people choose to respect the person singing, his age and many other factors which are irrelevant to singing. Every original singer was a beginner at some time and you cannot say for sure that these people won't reach the same levels. Respecting a person just because he has reached a certain stature is something I thoroughly abhor. Respecting his talent and experience is one thing but art is not limited by age. Little kids like Aishwarya and Anwesha are far superior to many adult singers.

@sushrutapandey, I just feel that that sort of comment -- better than the original -- is really the wrong kind of message to young singers. Why not adjust the language to something like -- "I enjoyed your spin/take/interpertation on this classic song" Why insult the original singer at all for the reasons I already stated?

See you are pre-deciding that saying something like that is an insult to the original singer. I just don't feel the need to give a different spin to it. I am pretty sure no original singer feels insecure because someone thinks some person sang it better than them.Because they KNOW that singing is a vast huge field where age/status has nothing to do with absolute talent. Similarly it is the duty of the singer be it original or upcoming to never become complacent but constantly grow because there is endless potential for improvement no matter what stage you are. By protecting original singers you are not doing them any justice either.

Of course, new singer may be better sometimes,

It is very disgusting to hear when the judges say the contestant sang better the original singer or had I known you before, I would have the song sung by you. It is utter nonsense and now I ignore most of the comments by the judges.

original is original which will always be remember as original and copy is copy whether it is beautified by adding some new thing here and there. better it should be called remixed/copied version of the originals 👏

why sugandha is under-rated:

because she can sing any song easily, either qwaali,. or ghazal, or light classic, or classic or bollywood song, or folk song or sufi song which was proved on first day when sugandha was best performer among 18 singers for her classical song on 4th of sept.10

This is the problem for every best singer.

this girl is struggling badly in this competition in spite of her best of best performances

simultaneously sniti is being over-hyped and over-rated whereas all the judges will say politely that you missed surs badly but does not matter, we like your voice

If sniti has unique voice

then, sugandha also has her own sureelee voice and it is not rented from any store so that

already bought voice had programming in her throat with an option of imitate

This is extra qualification given by god in her throat

why should she not use to save her song whenever she needs

now all efforts are being made to show sugandhha inferior than the other female singers.😭 viewers and voters should not believe the judges comments!!!!!!!!
