I liked her rendition of Chalka Chalka re..(from Saathiya, I think). She just blew me away with that performance.
Whatever others might say whatever the outcome of this show, I knew that day she will make it big, and my conviction has grown stronger with each of her performance.

Pi bin soona ji is from the movie Hamdard and sung by Mannadey and Lata. In structure, its similar to Kuhu kuhu boley koyalia as in use of multiple ragas in the same song. Dont know if the music is again by Adi Narayan Rao.
Its kind of a rare song and I've a copy (not so good quality though) if you want it...

There's another rare song in the same genre "Ritu aaye ritu jaaye sakhi ri, mann ke meet na aaye". I have all these songs in my dad's old tape recorder (the one with spools of tape) in India. If someone has access to this song, I would luv to get a chance to listen to it again...

" Pi bin suna ji" is from Hamdard (1953), starring Shekhar and Nimmi. The music is composed by Anil Biswas and the song is penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri.

This song is also from Hamdard composed in raag Maala. I read somewhere that Anil Da was the first to experiment with raag Maala in Hindi film music. Anil Da was a great composer. He introduced 2 of great singers to Hindi film industry -- Mukesh with Dil Jalata Hai to Jalane Do ( Pehli Nazar, 1945) and Talat Mehmood, who got his first big break with Ae dil muzhe aisi jaga le chal (Arzoo, 1950)
