This Friday, its celebration time for Rishi and Neetu Kapoor's family as the golden couple of the 70s are making a comeback in Do Dooni Chaar. Mummy Papa followed their son's footsteps and came to the sets of Zee TV's Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar to promote their upcoming movie. Besides the film promotion, Neetu Singh also had some vested interest in visiting the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa sets.
Rishi and Neetu Kapoor were brimming with joy when they entered the sets to be surprised by the unit, who were all dressed like the Hippies of the 70s. It was reliving the past on the sets of Saregamapa for Rishi Kapoor. Known for his lover boy roles and romancing young heroines including wife Neetu Singh, Rishi Kapoor was thrilled to see everyone including the mentors dressed in typical 70s style. Special mention of Shekhar who came close to looking like Rishi Kapoor's character Monty from the movie Karz.
The theme of the evening was "Duet songs from the 70s" which added to the excitement of the Kapoors. Abhilasha is a Nineties kid but her parents are apparently huge fans of Rishi Kapoor and she had a special request for him ' to play the dafli. A little known secret of Rishi Ji came out in the open that he can actually play the "Dafli" very well.
Khurram requested Rishi Kapoor to sing "Parda Hai Parda" from the movie "Amar Akbar Anthony" and to everybodys surprise, Rishi agreed in a jiffy. Being a diehard romantic, the charismatic actor went on stage wore the quawwali topi and sang the song holding flowers in his hand. It was indeed a very sweet moment for everyone especially Neetu Kapoor, who felt special being wooed after 30 years.
Now for Neetu Kapoor's hidden agenda of coming to the sets ' She wanted to meet Rini Chandra, the girl whom Ranbir Kapoor had tied the knot with last week. It was "Mooh Dikhai" time for Rini in front of her "Saas". Neetu ji gave Rini a token amount as blessing, adding to the fun on the sets.
