What makes Rajiv click..Originality?

Lot of people have been criticizing Rajiv here at this forum that he is not par with the other singers. I would like to know why he is clicking with the Janta..It seems to me that he is one singer who has a very different voice which you don't hear so often.All the current crop of singers have a voice similar to some body we have heard of.

Rajiv is a high range singer as all mentors agree. If you ask him to sing a song in a low range he is a very ordinary singer. But when he is using his high range...he can beat any of the currrent participants. I remember there was one episode in saregama where there was a tie between Rajiv and another good singer and they were allowed to sing any song..And Rajiv used his high range voice to an high range song to its ultimate effect. I remember Alka Yagnik, Jagjeet Singh and all the audience were floored..It was very obvious decision who was the winner. After that I never saw him singing at the same level because of the low range of songs he sang.

I think he is going to be very specialized singer and his songs are going to be superhit.If you hear Sukhvinder Singh, Mahendar Kapoor..they have different and high range voice..and some of their songs are simply mind blowing. It is a good thing that Rajiv is in the contest and mentors and public understand his potential..He may not be the winner but I would like to hear some of the explosive high range songs in the future from him..

Wow hard fan ...it is good... but we cannot blam on other fans that hw is good or he is bad you justkeep voting your fav rest other votes there fav....

There are two reasons he was so popular. He has a great God given voice
- -it sounds full and powerful -- really a voice to fill the big screen --
that's why the mentors liked him. With training, he could probably make
it big but then again at his age, it seems like it might be too much
discipline to go through that.

The second reason he was popular was Zee shamless exploitation of his
backstory. Everybody likes a good story and this poor cook living his
dream gives hope to everyone to dream - -realistic or not!

In the US, Rajiv would have won or at least gotten a record deal, a book
deal and probably his own show on Food Netowrk. That guy had
charisma (in sort of a hick way) from day 1. He was always near the
camera and hugging everyone.

He needs an agent!
