In my opinion

HR's popularity may be making it difficult for other singers who are not in his gharana. His type of music has the support of most of the younger generation in India and that is why they may be voting for his students more than for others.

I feel that both Ujjani and Paresh may not have survived so long if they had been in JL or ID Gharana. Vineet is a good singer but he may have not got the percentage of votes that he has been getting, had not HR been asking the public to vote for him all the time.

Perhaps you are right! I am not a student and I hate HR's music and think its highly over-rated, and I'd never vote for Paresh...but then again, I'm not the ideal voting demographic either!

I do not think his popularity is affecting as right now its up to the janta and they thought Himmesh was the best since day 1 if you see the polls

your subject is very timely.
I fully agree with you.
HR's current success is benefitting Vinit in a big way.
The concept of magical mentors has failed due to inbuilt flaws, it needs to be decemated.

I totally agree with you, classyhombre. If you believe HR, Vineet is the best singer ever. I mean, in the last few shows, per HR [ His Royalness ] Vineet has sung flawlessly. He has been SUPERB, FANTASTIC, MINDBLOWING!!!!!! [Yeah, Right!] I don't think even the great singers of yester-years like Raffi, Kishore Kumar etc. can claim to have given totally flawless performances, song after song.Mr. Gaj ji, could you please muzzle HR a little? Most of us would appreciate it. Thanks.

I think that junta does get influenced by mentors in terms of voting. JL were so rude to all and didnt show much humility to the junta either, and hence Sharib got eliminated 😭. While on a similar ground, HR does these 'tricks' to get public attention. I mean think about it - who is the primary user of SMS and text messaging - youngsters, right? So by catering to the whims and fancies of junta, HR is roping in votes. I mean, i really do like Vineet (i dont want him to get voted out) but there are people who perform not as good as Sharib and they didnt get eliminated either.

HR is undoubtedly the most popular music director today, w/many consecutive hit scores (aitraaz, dil maange more, silsilay, run, aashiq banaya) the jaanta is more aware of his prescence in the music world & are therefore giving him the votes.

Vineet is a good singer...his performance of tu hi tu satrangi re was amazing...HR cannot be completely wrong in noticing talent can he??

😳😳

My point exactly. HR is the most popular. Hence his students are getting more votes.

I am not saying that he is wrong about Vineet. Vineet is a good singer. I noticed his talent even in the saregampa rounds before the Challenge 2005 to which he was brought as one of the 6/8 singers from SRGMP. It's just that he had challenged either AS or JL that he would make Vineet a star and that is why he is always asking people to vote for him and people are doing that because of his popularity.

My personal opinion is Sharib was better and he would still be here if he belonged to the HR gharana. Ditto for Swananda
