The Bottom Line in Getting VOTES is ...

All said and done, what these performers need to do is come up with a ROCKING, OUTSTANDING performance to stay in the contest!!!

Witness Nihira's huge increase in votes when after she blew everyone away with her incredible rendition of "I love you"… Clearly, the public were impressed and voted on TALENT there… The choice of song is also important, because Nihira didn't get much positive feedback when she sang "Chup chup ke" perfectly.

Do you really think Hema would have got the lowest votes if he gave a performance of that calibre… or even like he sang "Lekar hum diwana dil" ??

Do you think Sharib would have been voted out if he sang like he did in "Laage tumse mann ki lagan" ? (the best performance in this whole contest IMHO)

Or Twinkle would be criticized, if she sang like "Daiyya yeh mai kahan aa phasi" ?

I would like to believe NOT… What do you all think ??

I agree to ur Mrspetlover. we voice our opinions and frustrations but nothing changes . I always wonder who votes as I see the diversed opinions on this forum but there is one underlying messge that all have voiced . Like Nihira sings the best while Rajeev should be out. This is a singing contest so we need to not forget this in the big picture and we all keep shouting that but it feels like whoever this janta is that is voting always choses the underdog.

.

Thanks for keeping Nihira & Hemachandra (if the posts by guess gallery are correct). You have given me and many others like me a reason to continue watching saregamapa. You have also shown that you recognize what real playback singing talent is in today's world of deterioting Indian music, where item numbers are the craze, in which any third class besura singer can be made to sound good through loud music and computer alterations.I also wish that you had saved Sharib like that and will save singers like Vineet & Himani in the future.

And Mrs.petloverUS , I would also love to hear Nihira & Hemachanra sing classical numbers but do you think that the musical teen audience of today, who is casting most of the votes in this competition, will appreciate that? IMHO these days the music being played is mostly being poorly copied from American Rock, Hip hop, reggae and Spanish & latino music. There are very few signs of Classic Indian ragas being used in today's music in Bollywood.

BTW you guys in India will you please start voting for real talent please. So what if this talent comes from big and more modern cities like Mumbai or Hyderabad etc.. ?

Although SRGMP can have one round of Classical Music songs along with RDX or SLB or even Remix round. This would give some of us the pleasure of good singing & would weed out the bad VS good singers. My opinion.

I agree, but the judges should be someone like Shiv-Hari not the public, for Nihira , Hema to survive.

like Jasrajji any one with just classical background. No singers pls.
Because when singers are judges they tend to become unfair due to the
insecurity factor. Some of their career might get affected by the winner
(Kumar Sanu & DM). Do you get my point????

I think that the public might enjoy the classical round if the songs were
chosen for mass appeal ( not that I am the best judge of that it appears).
How about semi classical songs like Madhuban Me Radhika Nache, may
Saiyyan beiman.

Also many modern songs need a good classical base for justice. For
example many AR Rehman songs like Main Vari Vari, ID songs, and
forgive me for saying it but HR's Aap Ki Kashish. Even songs from Mujhe
Kuch Kehna Hai or other that nwo escape me. What about qawalli songs
-- they can be quite difficult. I think that this round has been done
successfully in the past and it should be brought back ASAP. This would
clearly allow Hema, Nihira and possibly Debo, Twinkle and others to
shine. Plus it would help ease the pain of losing Sharib, Raktima and
Swananda - -all classically trained singers.

What do you think?

i think eht voting is also not the criteria, you should fit in gajji's script to be in, they can change rules anytime to save anyone or remove anyone. first they claimed ki they will give two singers 1 male and 1 female, then they start voting them out one at a time. the first 2 to loose were 2 girls and in the third round 2 were in yellow light with sharib and they will be loosing out faster as generally in public voting, guys only win from abhijeet sawant to qazi is a good example. from what i read here, in the fourth round nihira could have been out also and the votes were manipulated to show that hema got min. votes and then both were saved (someone on the forum said that, dunno how true that is).

so, the bottom line is just hope that gaj-ji is happy with you and wants you to win the contest. public voting is immaterial.

why don't you just name the 2...😆😆😆

everyone knows who is from mumbai and who is from hyderabad. and my opinion is a voter does not see where one is coming from. if they like someone they will vote for them. and by sheer population and widespread use of mobiles, it is these big cities who send out the maximum percentage of votes if you look at it by city.

talent can come from anywhere, votes can come from everywhere, but this show is heading nowhere....😆😆😆 - they might not even come back with a similar concept next year if the happenigs go as they are going on right now.
