I would like to answer that. IMO, Vineet is not as technically good as the
others. Of course he is better than Rajiv, Paresh and others but they are
all gone now. He has trouble at low notes, he lacks good breath control,
had trouble picking up after a pause in the song (Aaja Aaja and Sandese
Aate Hain) and instead of getting better through the contest, he is
acutally goten worse. He and Hema are effectively the same age and look
at the difference.
I understand that many people may find him personally appealing (I of
course don't) but I don't think that his technical skills merit rating him
over Hema and Debo. I am not trying to be a musical snob nor am I
attacking the integrity of Vineet fans. I don't blame anyone who is
confused about the rating of the contestants. The mentors have been too
busy playing power games to actually bother to give the viewing audience
any guidance. Remember their low rating of Ujjaini on the aitraaz song -
-even Kunal Ganjawala -- the singer of the song was shocked!
I also think that by now, most people hate the blatant manipulation of HR
and resent Vineet reaping the rewards.
This is the fault of SRGMP for having a proper format where singers would
have to sing classical songs to show their base.
Vinit is fine and leave him alone! OK everybody😃
