Final round, Rajeev’s first perforamce

I saw it yesterday here in the US. First when he sang, he was horrible, but when Aadesh asked him to sing the way he wants to sing, (with higher scale) he was amazing. I got goose bums listening to that..rewinded m DVR and saw it 3,4 times.

So why did he sing at that low scale the first time?? Was it advised by Adesh or who???
