It's really good question why everyone from NE voted for Debojit. And none other contestant got any % vote from NE. Isn't this regionalism, come on!!!!! or all other contestants are bad. Have they voted once for Nihira, do they think Debojit is really better then her. This is all regionalism and sentiments going on. Come on NE people , be man be human be rational.

Also - Debu has beaten Vineet fair and square before, not sure if you know this, have you seen earlier episodes of saregama before Challenge 2005 started (Fame 2005)? This is how he became wild card entry, judges were renowned unbiased musicians, Pundit Jasraj, Chitra, Biddu.

somebody posted the details of the 26th jan episode.. saying the vinit is out(FINALLY!!).. 26th jan episode has not been telecast in india i guess.. how did the poster get the details of teh show?

May be the person was in the recording studioat the time the episode was being shot?

About the regional voting controversy, when you leave the voting to public, you cannot control the bias. And you cannot also complain that this is not india ki voice. You left it to public, public responds the way they like. And sometimes people get voted not because they get votes but because the others didn't vote. In which case oe should not complain. Comment but no complain.

The point about the actual number of votes was well put and thought of. Statistics has a funny way of twisting truth.

i agree with sanbel fully. everyone is just voting for people that belong to their area, not by the singing. i think debojit should have gone out a long time ago and that the top singers are slowly being voted out by a singer who does not even sing that well (in my opinion).
i dont' agree with mirror2006 because if the NE votes for someone it is because he belongs to their area not by the singing. so this is supposed to be all of india's votes and not by one area.

hey..i think all she was trying to say was that Debo did receive lots of points from Assam, but people shouldn't take into account just Assam's votes..i mean, Hemu and himani could've gotten votes from Assam as well...so u really should lay off on her.

besides..she prolly said that without thinking...its called the "passion of the moment" (a sudden reaction, expressed at the moment without prior thought, just to help ya out there...)

So if I am from NE and if I think he was good .. shouldnt I vote for him.. ?
I think if Debu is blatantly bad from the other contestants he would not recieve such overwhelhing response from the NE too...Morover you have to give it up for the enthusiasm shown by the people of NE.. which is so much lacking in the Cow Belt.. where 2 contestants hail from..

IMHO the voting was a good reflection of the performances...but I think Hemu should have been 2nd.. Himani third and Vinit last..
His parda hai lacked the punch that Rafi created and he was much much worse than a similar performance from Sharib earlier..

I think AS too does have a good knowledge about his countries geography. In fact he asked to hand over the mike to the lady and that's the reason she spoke so. Undoubtedly she does not know that Assam is in India. This all seems to be th conspiracy of AS and HR and the contestant proud as they are were instigated by these 2 mentors only.

Tantra , can you put your hand on your heart and say Debojit is better than Nihira. Have you ever heard her without biased mind. Let me ask you one more, if Debojit was not from NE , would you have voted for him. See I am not trying to put some one down. If Debojit would have been excellent performer I would have voted for him even if he would have been not from my region.

We need to understand this system itself is wrong. Also i don't like people like Vinit, Debojit asking vote for emotional reasons "Maa Ka Sapna" , I have never heard it from Nihira. She always said "If you like the way I sing , please vote for me". She is too cool.I never heard it from Debojit in such way...why?
