" If you think you understand better than judges , excellent. "
That's what I mentioned earlier too!
Everyone is more knowledgable than all the judges!
Unfortunately the judges made a name for themselves in the music industry and "we, the experts" did not!!!

I too have heard the controversy news from Zee source that Raja had the highest number of votes in C07, but Zee decided to take a cut off time for the votes - earlier than what they had announced as the cut off time, and thus made Aneek win, since Raja got more votes towards the deadline. It wasnt a good thing to hear as I personally supported Raja and voted for him that season. Anyway Aneek isnt a bad singer either, and Amanat is very good too. So all three deserved to win, and I can live with that.
I havent watched C05 and so I cannot comment on that, and the same goes for other reality shows. But in LC2, Anamika was the best and she deserved to win by all means, and I am happy she did. In ESBE, there was news that Zee wont let the same winners to win again, and do they made Raja-Jassi to win and Vasu-Ayush in CPBD. I was happy for Raja though not for Jassi - others were better dancers than her. Same way I was happy for Ayush, but I think other kids were better singers than Vasu. Anyway, none of the four are real bad, so it's fine.
In C09, with all the hype they had, I felt they are planning Zaheer or Asma to win, until the Mumbai incident took place. Zaheer was okay but Asma wasnt good to be a winner. Anyway with the trio, I really felt they will make Yashita the winner if Vaishali didnt have the support of the regional government officials, the same place where Zee' s headquarters are located. She deserved to win and I am happy for her. But I truly believe that Mitika, Naina and Kaushik deserved to be in top ten and not just in top 14 and get eliminated so early. I also believe that Arshad deserved to come back in the WC round and Sayon and Anupama too. Even in the WC round, I dont believe that Asma got more votes than Manisha and Shashi. Yes, the voting makes no sense, but even with that nonsense, people still pick someone with comparable talent to vote for rather than someone who has the least talent of all in the show!
Anyway coming to LC3, why would Shalini stay safe when other good kids are eliminated even during the same day and week when she performed worse than the eliminated ones? The judges know music, true, and they are more knowledgeable than us, true, but that doesnt mean they dont fall prey to inside politics and not influenced by money. After all money and fame are more valuable to them. And they made it to what they are because luck plays a big role - being at the right place at the right time. Else people like Swarit's mom and the like, for example, would have made it there too.
Ashaji is one honest judge when it comes to music, but the show never brings her as a main judge but only in the preliminary rounds. Sonu and Sureshji judged correctly and I am sure they wouldnt have said the same about Shalini like Alka says/said. Khailash was being nice to kids as he didnt want to break their hearts or discourage them with his comments. But why he picked Debolina over Shalini to be eliminated that day is a huge question mark for me. If he had explained his reasons, then I would have understood it better. It was very clear from the singing that day, those who are familiar with the original songs, that Shalini's Piya Re was the worst rendition of the day. And I didnt feel Debolina had an attitude to use that as an excuse. Same thing for Farah's and Yashodhan's eliminations. None of the eliminated ones were my top two favorites, so my comments arent perceived from that angle either.

I will just make one comment. I have never said judges should judge people by attitute.. I said public do take various factors including attitute into account while they vote and u can not just complaint "fixing / rigging" or dictate public that they should vote purely based on music merit. My comment is applicable only for public voting and so irrelevant here.
I know judges clearly said debolina that she did not sing good but did not day that to Shalini. whether they are right or wrong will start a technical debate for which i am not qualified.
PS: I do not think Shalini is a good singer either but except Yashodhan, whoever are eliminated were not any better either. Debolina was totally impactless, Hemant was pathetically nasal and Priyanka sings every song on the earth in her folk style..

Once I used to argue with people over srgmp show's standard and authenticity, but gradually from last 2-3 seasons even I started sensing it terribly fishy. My heart still cries for Raja Hasan. How can we remain unaffected over unjustified elimination and please dont ask to justify, we already have many threads running here for the same. Normally these shows are watched by people who have interest in music no matter how little or big, so when a person with average music sense can distinguish good or bad than how can these judges or normal people of zee unit can act like maniacs. And this time I am sure that show has been fixed and I am agree with the topic starter that we should try to be unaffected and enjoy the show as it is. But again easier is said than done!😕

Controversies will always be there but is there any proof? Vishal-Shekhar said publicly that Aneek deserved to win! So who should I belive?
Asha Bhonsle, Sonu Nigam and Sureshji said i lil champs (when Aneek came to sing in one episode) that "he only deserved to win"
Did they lie?
Problem is when one's favourite fails to win or get eliminated then we start smelling something fishy. My favourite was Amanat in C2007, but I never ever mentioned that its a fixed show!
Everyone cannot be pleased, and in public voting the best singer do not always win but the most popular singer wins.
Secondly when you have no restrictions on the number of votes one person can send to one contestant, there there cannot be any logic about winning or losing. Glaring example is Indian Idol2 winner Sandeep Acharya.
So just cool down.

^^^ You telling me to cool down?? Did I appear to be boiling hot in my post to you?? Why dont you just chill and relax?! I have given my reasons and also concluded that the end results were fine with me - again with my reasons for accepting the results! So what's your problem now? Please dont try to instigate a fight - it wont work!

Did I say in my post that judges judge people by attitude, and anything in that line? All I meant was that I didnt make my comments in that angle and so I dont want to use the attitude excuse either, since I didnt see one for Debolina from the show. I made comments about public voting too, and so I quoted about Asma returning in the WC round and staying until top six. Judges clearly said to Debolina and didnt say to Shalini - at that time I thought may be Shalini is too little and so they didnt want to be harsh to her whereas Debolina is 4 years older and so they might have thought she would be able to handle criticism better. At least I tried to find a reason that way when it was very obvious to anyone with some musical sense that Shalini sang way worse than Debolina in the sufi round.
Recently I came to read about some inside stories of reality shows, with clear proof and statements from credible sources - they like to keep contestants who bring in more SMS votes which means more money for the channel - it's based on how rich the families are, so the richer the better because they would be spending lakhs of rupees voting for their child! So if a kid comes from a family that cannot afford to spend a number of lakhs in SMS, that kid would be out. Then they sometimes bring back the eliminated contestant and then shoot more episodes under the pretention that contestant is still in, and then air the elimination episode later, while people will be voting for an already eliminated contestant! The contestants have to sign agreements that has several clauses which also prohibits them from disclosing the inside stories to public. If any contestant's family member question the channel about the discrepancy, they will not be made to win, using the excuse of low SMS votes. The judges who dont bring juicy drama to the shows will be shown the door and so they have to go with the script and instructions of the channel to keep their seat safe - more romance stuff, harsh words, drama with contestants and family members, etc will bring in more TRPs for the channel, and safe seat for the judges - apparently many of them love the reality show judge's seat, as it gets them more money without hard work.
Anyway try to read the terms and conditions of voting for these shows and you will get a clearer picture!

Remember Loria Doshi's father who claimed that he sent 10,000 sms for his daughter! But still she was eliminated!

So your logic does not hold water

I referred to your statement "they like to keep contestants who bring in more SMS votes which means more money for the channel " Nothing else !

Got it? Nothing else

So they would have kept Loria in the show because she was a potential candidate to bring more money for the channel. But they did not!

So where does Debolina or Shalini or anybody comes into the picture?

Who is talking irrelevant?

I am watching SRGMP since its started, maybe you were not even born then. Yes, I do know the format (old and new) . Do you?
