Hi everyone. 😊
I feel despite this being a musical section there are hardly any musical topics except moshi who only promotes Md. Rafi ji, who ofcourse could be described as the father of music just like hippocrates who is known as the father of medicine.
Before talking about music, what is music to you? why is music important in your personal life? Music is the art of arranging tones in an orderly fashion to produce a unifold and continuous compostion. Music holds no boundaries and has no concrete meaning for any one person. For musicians, music is life. Music is unique in each person's life. So my first question to everyone on this musical forum is
1 - what is music to you? For me music is relaxation and the tunes, melodies, rhythm that music brings to my heart and soul sometimes arouses strong emotion and feeling.
Well music is just for enjoyment, for DJ's, for parties, for dance.😆
But I don't like rap at all! Some remixes are fine like all the Rakhi dance numbers but sometimes they mess them up a lot by adding tooo much rap.
I like to listen to music which I can understand, so I don't enjoy classical music or music other than Hindi and Punjabi
Now Past: Present And the Future.
In the past there have been great legends that have contributed to industry and without such legends the definition of music itself would be incomplete...one such legend from past is Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhonsle and ofcourse Moshi's favourite Md. Rafi Ji. They are a class themselves and nobody could touch them or imitate them. They are the past, present and future themselves.
Second question
2 - who do you admire from past? dedicate any songs of such legends to any member of this forum. and what do you think of the current state of music? take for example Himesh reshmaiya! ( i wont waste my time on him)
Well I don't know anyone from the past. When listening to the songs I don't care about who the singer is or the music composer etc. Just the song should be appealing.
Well the music being released these days is just fine, it goes with what the people want. We can't expect them to make decades old medleys in 2009. It simply wouldn't be successful.
Himesh Reshamiya is just fine, his songs have become very popular. I like most of his songs.
The best thing about this era is that it has lot's of variety unline the old era where there were only type og songs and music.
So I like the music of today better than the olden age!
And finally any contestants from the saregampa contest that could be considered as the future of music?
I don't think any. It's hard to become star by being a singer these days. Because the industry has too many singers and they all do very little playback singing. Unlike the olden days where there were only few singers, and they got one playback after another.
