I was very much looking forward to see the Rehman as a person. He was very dissappointing. He may never get this opportunity again and he blew it. He doesn't have a presence neither way with words.

I am happy that an Indian won an oscar, but Rehman is one of the great Indian musicians,. There are many who supercede him.

rahman is a introvert to begin with . he even comes across as a media shy guy. international or domestic stage , when has anyone seen him delivering any kind of dialogues...be it humorous or articulated or powerful or thoughful ...never. all he does is , merely smiles... barely thanks and hurriedly gets down the stage.😆

glad oscars havent changed him and he remained grounded. and who says he wont get any such opportunity? man its gonna be regular affair now 😛. oscars ka formula mil chuka hai unn sabko 😉.

and regarding connecting with people, man his music talks for him and it did the connection with the chords...

as if penelope cruz made connection with her spanish blabbering

or kate winslet made any sense when she compared oscar to shampoo bottle..😛😆

oh the japanese guy made more sense "tanking everyone" 😆

moments like oscars are emotional and volatile. whoever says whatever makes watchable .. as that moment belong to them and so let them experience it as they wish .

- if one opts for being thoughtful like tom hanks

or someone getting all teary and highly emotional like halle berry

or someone spontaneous like julia roberts

or a mere thank you can also suffice...

we as fans, viewers always expect the powerful , thought provoking, well polished words of wisdom on occassions as such but can be let down big time .

all said, whatever suits them at that time is what matters..
