Bhor Bhai is the hidden surprise, the raag gurjari todi-thumri in voice of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan in surround system of cinema hall gives goosebumps, and perhaps only God can match him. Now I understand why my mother used to tell about him "lmighty in full flow" Shreya makes good attempt but fails. BGA Khan saab ki ek ek shruti bahut zabardast lagti hai.
Kala Bandar has a great arragement, while it may sound out of context it fits in movie very well. An interlude is very similar to Dil Ka Rishta theme piece from Yuvvraaj.
Dil Gira is very similar in arrngement to Dil ki Bazi laga from 1 2 ka 4, a proper rhythm never develops and bass guitar guides the song. A lot of keyboard works. I liked this song.
Genda Phool is remix fusion version of a folk song from Chattisgarh, I think it would be better if folk songs are spared or used in semi classical format. The family which owns this song is from Chattisgarh and wants ARR to give them due credit.
Rehna Tu is said to be inspired from Laura Branigan's Self Control though it develops to its own identity, a unique unstrument continuum has been used which can play shruti of Indian raagas and sounds like Hawaii guitar. (Came to know about this from Arun for the first time). A melody with heavy bass guitar.
Arziyaan has chayya of both Khamaj and Chayyanat raag, over all it is in line with demand of sufi songs these days. Many people would like this, as usual ARR has good arrangement.
Masakalli is a weak composition doesn't deserve lot of comments. Lot of wierd words and more of an experimental song.
Rahman has no special liking for Sonu Niigam, Sukhwinder Singh, Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik and is using new voices like Javed Ali, Benny Dayal and Mohit Chauhan . Good or bad, leave it to you.
