I agree with Alka and Aadesh mostly. If you look from Sonu's POV it is also true that "bollywood music is not everything" (that seems to be his motto these days..and I completely support it) but that's not all you can take out of JS's statement. What Jagjitji said just sounded offensive. Seemed like he had a personal grudge with ARR. Anyways I have always liked Pankaj Udhaas better than JS and even in this video he came across as a more humble person.

About KS and ARR...it doesn't matter who refuses to work with whom. ARR fans say that ARR always preferred Udit over Sanu and Sanu fans say that Sanu refuses to work with ARR. But IMO these two could never make a good jodi anyways. ARR's music is very different from the type of songs that KS sings.

Oh man, I love Rahman's music. His music takes me into another world so different than the real world - I can't even explain that feeling. Euphoria is the closest word that comes to my mind. Most of his songs are out of this world, melody no melody.. well.. I get so lost in the music that I never remember to go that grainular n dissect his music pieces. When I heard Chhaiya Chhiya for the first time, that music just sounded so out of this world to me. And talking about Gujarish song from Gajani, its just fabulous and Jodha Akbar - Gosh can listen to his songs again n again without getting bored unlike the songs of any other music composer. He is the champ musician for me 👏, you can call him boring, you can call him artistic, you can call him music technician, you can call him anything you want, thats not going to change the fact that his music is loved dearly by many people like me...

Dude, I really don't have much to say here. For me end of the day ARR rocks and one of the prime/original composer, not even getting into technicalities of music. Have fun discussing!!

But then More ears have heard Himesh and appreciated him. They put their money where their mouth is when they went out and bought his CDs. What appreciation has Rehman gotten relatively speaking? Even for Oscars, it is a bunch of fat guys in the west who nominated him. They have never nominated the Beatles or the Stones or U2 or anyone good for the most part, some of these guys had movies too with songs.

these government awards are horrible...don't take them seriously. even in sports category they don't care about olympic medal winners but they gave padma shree to a cricketer who was alleged of being racist this year and also was banned for slapping another cricketer.
