everyone's playing the regionalism card --- Yashita was out in Delhi trying to woo Punjabis and she is not even a delhi-ite!!! Vaishali will do the same when she performs in mumbai. Can't be picking on Bengalis alone.

Exactly! Yashita isn't even from Delhi. Both her and Vaishali are from Mumbai. So God knows why she performed in a city she ain't even from.

while I do not want to open a can of worms on this subjet, Raj Thakeray was handled very softly for what he and his party unleashed, it is shameful. Each time he was arrested his imprisonment was a token arrest, he was always treated with baby gloves, such acts by any person in India anywhere should be treated as act of treason. Among the commandos that rescued Mumbai from the terrorists, many hailed from north India. And Raj had nothing to say then. In fact, at a time when Mumbai was in crisis he disappeared from the scene (under the bed).

I agree he was on wrong side of law. and I am not his blind supporter. he is a politician, and no politician was inside d taj or oberoi to fight d terrorists! that's not their job, is it?

i just noted how regionalism is in existence in communities like bengal..and how that is accepted, while a raj thackeray talking abt 'marathi rights' is dismissed as pure sin!
so this female said- 'bengalis will vote for bengalis only'. now tomorrow if calcatta is attacked, will non-bengali soldiers be allowed inside to fight d terrorists? or only 'bengalis will fight for bengalis'. but nobody asks this questions to bengalis, punjabis, tamils and other indians etc. though they too display lots of regionalism and parochialism. everyone just preaches to marathis, but what are they doing in their own states??? i just wish to hightlight this. coz what moral right anybody has to criticise raj unless he/she is free of regional bias himself or herself?

i'm watching it on youtube!

u hv good taste in films. 😃
i didnt watch it coz it had insulting remarks abt King Shivaji who was d founder of d Maratha Empire.
I suppose d censor cut that part before release..actually they should hv allowed d movie without cuts..so that the marathis could see what rest of India thinks abt shivaji..

I m not bengali but they didnt attack bihari in bengal. Regionalism is everywhere but in the name of regionalism one shouldn't drive people from other state.

What Ujjani said is pretty narrow minded and tribal. She is pretty stupid to think that rest of India will welcome Bengali singer, if Bengali behaves in such tribal and narrow minded fashion. These show and channel are bringing out worst in India.

Are you serious?
Bengalis are the only people who welcome everyone in their state and do not consider them as outsiders!
Bengal is the ONLY state in India where students can sit for their school leaving exams in their own mother language (Tamil, Telegu, Malyalam. Marathi, Gujrati etc.)
Show me a single state that has implemented that!
Please do not ever ever try to insult a race (any race)!
I don't know how the moderator is allowing this Bengali bashing!
Must be an anti bengali himself/herself!

😕 don't really know which Indians your are talking about here. All the Indians I know --- marathis or nonmarathis--- all have nothing but the highest regards for Shivaji.
You can't base your opinion about rest of India based on what you see in non-marathi movies. People say/do a lot of unacceptable stuff in movies. Not everything should be taken at face value.
Since raj thackrey's verbal diarrheas, it looks like some marathis at IF are roaming around with a chip on their shoulders. Don't know where their insecurity is stemming from. When we criticize raj thackrey, we are criticizing his policies, his personal views. We are NOT criticizing marathis just because thackreys happen to be marathi. Don't know why it is so hard for some to get!
That said; I would like to draw a line to this panaroia. The mere suggestion from anyone that non marathis have a low opinion of Shivaji, just so that they can defend their anti - nonmarathi agendas/opinions, is stooping way too low.

Eventhough I am with you on not insulting any region, I am dead against accusing people of any wrongdoing and alleging something I am not sure about myself.
Did you report the post you find offensive before jumping in and hurling accusations at the section mod? In case you already reported, did you wait long enough for the mod to come by, read your report and take the action?
How can you defend your region when you yourself are hurling regionalistic insults at other peole here? Your statements in red bold font are totally uncalled for.
