Dear OBJ

If you hear a song from L-P saab or Naushad saab and you don't notice many komal swara be prepared for raag pahadi. Those who are raagbuff (which I am not, not even trained in Indian classical ) would tell you that L-P saab composed MANY songs on this raaga.

Coming to M Rafi saab, one of his song Chaudavi ka chand is pretty good example of raag pahadi. Go through this link and there are many many songs on raag pahadi.

ARR recently said if he is asked to give music for Chinese music he would use this raag as it is rampantly used there..!!
Now let me comeback with Rafi-RDB combo in next.

Actually pal do pal ka saath hamara is not a good example of raag kedar, just google this song from film sawan ko aane do : bole to bansuri kahi...and this is sort of Lakshan geet of raag Kedar, beautiful shringar ras laced ...

I suppose tose who compose and who have firm grounding in Indian classical can do so with ease, but being trained in IC is a diff thing and being a composer diff, making a song takes a lot: training, wisdom, understanding of instruments and a lot of tapsya (read hard work)
