oh ab free hun to i'll post some of my fav. Lata-Rafi duets,
chalo dildaar chalo chaand ke paar chalo
baago me bahaar hai
jhilmil sitaaro ka aangan hoga(my mom's fav. so its my fav.too)
n almost all songs from TAJ MAHAL
jo wada kiya wo nibhana padega
paao chhu lene do pholon ko inayat hogi
title song from Aan milo sajna
saathiya nahi jaana ke jee na lage(from Aaya Sawan jhum ke)
tum to pyaar ho sajna(from Sehra)
teri duniya se door chale hoke majbur
hum tumhare liye tum humare liye
palko ke peeche se kya tumne keh daala
kitna pyara wada hai in matwaali aankho kahttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQR3kimEr3M
rimjhim ke geet sawan gaaye
mere mitwa mere meet re
jeewan me piya tera saath rahe
yeh dil tumbin kahi lagta nahi
yaad me teri jaag-jaag ke hum
wo hai zara khafa-khafa(Shagird)
kitna pyara wada hai in matwali aankho ka(Caravan)
ek ghar banauga tere ghar ke saamne(my fav. actors Nutan n Dev Anand's movie😛)

@ mcm226: some very lilting numbers in your list, quite a few L-P number?? And couple in raag pahadi ..
I love the number in the burning train : pal do pal ka saath hamara based on raag Kedar, beautiful number.

Very good topic, I shall post some very good songs from the house of R D Burman and M Rafi saab the inimitable.

Pucho na yaar kya hua: has two versions as duet of Asha and M Rafi and as a M Rafi solo, in the former there is excellent use of flanger of electric guitar, of course excellent bassing all over. Listen to the multilayered orchestra in the latter, all instruments having identity of their own be it trumpet or keyboards.

And here I forward something for those discovering something new, an unknown film called Raksha, M Rafi and Asha singing a fantastic duet, of course Pancham written all over.

altho they were few in numbers, rd/rafi combo's are some of the finest.. 😃

i listened to kedar raga.. also jinjhoti raga.. yet i couldn't find similarity to pal do pal ka and kya se kya ho gaya/mose chal.
