Yes that she does... i even mentioned this before.. i thought last week when all three were on stage singing the medeley.. i thought she was better than Vaishali i that round.. her voice was more prominent then that of Vaishali and i enjoyed the trio singing together.. (although it seemed like Soumen and Yashita singing)

ok thanks a ton, see this is what i am trying to say here, and that's why i created this topic. Because people here are rejecting every performance by her, both the good and the bad. agree she has some bad qualities in her singing but we also can't ignore her talent.

What talent?? 😕 😉 She was singing all the seductive songs in the first rounds after she got in from Ekalavya gharana to Dhoom gharana! Who would sing those kind of songs in a national/global competition??!! Look at the list of songs she had sung - all like a Discotheque collection!!!

If you look at the opening number, it was all Vaishali singing and Yashita was only lipsinging!! Even when she was zoomed in, her voice was absolutely NIL... In the trio round at the end, every time Vaishali was zoomed, I could hear her voice clearly, and the same went for Yashita too. It looked like they were given certain parts of the song to be prominent with their single voice... I didnt feel like it was only Soumen and Yashita, as Vaishali's voice is quite distinct and I can recognize it easily among the three...

Yes, but fast numbers and classical songs aren't the only two types of songs!!

but it's either fast numbers or romantic songs that are released now a days. so if you can sing these will then u are set.

I agree. She just doesn't sing that well. Period. I mean, sure it might be "innovative" to put the microphone at her throat, but honestly, the girl can't sing. She just mimics the sounds that the instruments make and she gets praise from all the judges. It's lame.

I dont know why all the hype when we have enough excellent female singers in the industry who can sing the same genre songs way better?! They are all young and popular too - Sunidhi, Shreya, etc... to name a couple. We dont have enough singers to sing melodious songs with sweet voice and sur, and those who used to sing those songs all the time would be leaving the industry soon - Lataji, Ashaji, Kavitaji, etc... Well, Yashita's innovations would get her a job as a DJ in a discotheque, but playback singing??!! 😲
