Sorry to drop into your argument, whoops discussion, 😆 like this, but here are my two cents.

Nobody likes to watch the drama. Its just there, and it gets annoying. Some aspects might be entertaining and others might be downright annoying. But as long as we remember them and sit down to watch them, the channels don't care. Even if we watch the drama and then come here and make topics about how stupid it was, we're just giving the show more publicity, if ten people read your thread and post on it, at least one of them will go and watch the show if he/she hasn't done so already. Hence, and increase in TRPs and votes. That's what the channel wants. They could care less if you're actually interested in Pratibha and Soumen's love story as long as you're talking about it.

Its not that they like to watch that. Its that they don't have a choice, but to watch that. Ekta serials have taken over the face of Indian television, what's one to do? Give the Indian audience some decent shows to watch, and Ekta's career will go down the drain.

i don't watch any ekta serial except for Kasmh se, but watch a lot of other ones, like saat phere, BMTD, Mayyka, none of them are ekta's. these are good, but it's not that they are clear of drama, there are look alike's a saas burning her bahu, life after death, but they still are good i love to watch them. if everything good and realistic happened in these shows, no one would watch them, there have to be vampires and out of the box things.
same is for SRGMP, there would be less audience it there is no drama, in the shows, becuase so many people already don't care about the contestants, becuase none have made it big in bollywood, they want to see good themes, celebrity judges, etc.
