Speaking of copying songs both indians and Pakistanis copy each other's songs - I can give you several examples - but this particular song by Naheed Akhtar for Pakistani movie (released in 1974) was sung long time ago

Good work Khatarnak - keep it up
Agreed several Indian and Pakistani songs are the same being copied. The main reason is because these are very good or popular songs.
It is very common for good songs to be translated and sung in various languages. Understand that even Hindi and Tamil songs are freely exchanged.Once copyright rules are fully implemented there could be complications. Generally I like the idea of good songs being shared by all ( legally of course).Several English/American and Latin American music too has been having a great influence.

So? Does that excuse Pritam and his disregard on copyright laws and his lack of artistic integrity? I believe the answer is NO
itwofs does not have any Vishal Shekhar songs listed, now if you're gonna post songs where their songs have a similar guitar chords as some other random song IYO, sry2say that doesn't count..
now if we started listing Pritam's songs where it is a total copy of another song in its entierity we'll be typing all night

SEL Guitar Rift "Bolna Halke Halke"
Before the antra music in this song that has guitar rift which has been lifted from the 70's Bill Withers song "Use me up" check it out. I don't even think they have played this rift on actual acoustic Guitar, looks like it has been played on Yamaha Motif keyboard - Mega Voices.

pritam is lazy and he is also shameless. Lazy because He takes music from other instead of coming up with hsi own, shamless because he doesn't give them proper credit.
But the man has good taste.
