Well Alka has a nice voice and some great songs, there's no doubt about that. I just think she sounds tooooooooooo shrill in her high notes!

lol obviously yaar bechari bhuddi ho gayi..now the voice has become tooooooo shrill😲 she's till my fav tho.. loved her in kuch kuch hota hai..

i remember when hum aapke hai kaun was an all time blockbuster the songs were always played.. and i used to hear lata mangeshkar .. when she said "oooi maaaa" i used to get so irritated! 😆

Hey i agree about "ooooooi maaaaa!!" 😆

I've got nothing against Alka or anything. She was awesome in kuch kuch hota hai. But her high notes have always kinda bugged me but yes she has a warmth to her voice, i think it's more warm than sweet but it's still nice. But if you hear her singing in Umrao Jaan, it's pretty obvious that she sounds more shrill now.
