If Art and Music cannot bond people together than nothing else will.

Though the outward expression of music may vary yet the inner spirit and soul of music remains unchanged. Music should unify us by softening out hearts.
Just listen to Mehdi Hassan's "Zindagi Main to Sabhi Pyar Kiya" to understand the soul.

Music has no boundries, religion, caste, creed.....Music is a religion in itself...It is supposed to bring people closer and together but these days reality based musical shows are creating more waves and conflicts than ever IMHO..
Watch the shows to see singers sing their best...Do not look out for your favorite to win b/c show people will only do and bring one which brings them more money..It is a business not a true talent show..
So with that I am here to chill & watch rest of the contest 😃

Yes Zaara Ustad Mehdi is the no. 1 in Ghazals and his voice is very soothing. Most younger generation persons like yourself do not really appreciate ghazals as they may find it too slow or because they use several Urdu words that are not easy to understand. Our friend JoJo mentioned that Ustad Mehdi has been ranked a 9.5 in Ghazals, close to perfection.

Several talents when they first come out are often in dire need for cash to survive. Once they are financially settled they can concentrate on their talents; ie they need roti first.😆
As for the shows most of the contestants are all very talented as far as I am concerned.

Jagjit Singh popularised Ghazals in India and here Amanat gave a fantastic performance in 2007 singing "Hungama"
