I like both . As to piracy, Pritam the Pirate is definitely better known as he is currently the King of Music. If those songs and ideas that he borrowed had been flops no one would care. We the listeners are also to blame as most of us are still listening to their music. But I understand that he intends to acknowledge the original composers and reveal the source.

guys Pritam is the biggest CHOR in the world. Pritam had been in the industry for only 8 yrs and he had already copied more than 100 tunes, where anu malik has been in the industry for last 30 yrs and had copied about 65 tunes. that proves that PRITAM is a big chor. not only that Anu Malik has proved that he is a DAMM GOOD composer by scoring BORDER, REFUGEE,UMRAO JAAN,FIZA,FIDA,LOC,MAIN HOON NA and many more original tunes

Well I think Pritam is more sophisticated chor and Anu Malik lacks that sophistication 😆 ....

For every Fiza or ashoka ...Anu ji came up with tan tana tan tan tan tara or ek garam chaye ki peyali ho or uchi hai building lift teri bandh hai 😆 ...

when Pritam lifted a song he made it sound more enjoyable ...on the other hand he also came up with songs like mere dholna or aoge jab tum ho sajna👏 ....

I love his lifted packaged well songs as well as his unlifted semiclassical ....and the songs that came in between i.e partly lifted and partly unlifted 😆...

Bottomline ...pritam's compositions rock!!!! .....😃

Now a million dollar Q for you bruno: Anu Malik has tried to survive since the days R D Burman and L-P saab were there, still he has succeeded, (certainly 80s was a failed era for him), Pritam is competing against SEL and ARR, what simily and dis-simily you draw here.

Honestly speaking AM has seen it all, he has struggled a lot and success didnt come to him in a paltter, he is diverse like R D Burman while he many not have RD's calibre of composing. But he can't be written off. Ye s he has lifted a lot on a career spanning some 20 plus years some 60 songs have been traced to multiple sources, but he does have some better original composition like in Border, Refugee, Aks, Mujhe kuch Kahna hai (there is a song mujhe kuch kahna hai, it is pure shivaranjini), Bazigar and many others.

Coming to his selection of songers, when Nadeem Shravan chose exceptionally K Sanu and mainstream singers he picked up Sonu Nigam for Border, Alisha for peppy numbers and KK in late 90s.

He started off in a time which was dominated by Bappi Lahiri, R D Burman, L-P and later o n Jatin Lalit, but he has survived till now competing against Pritam, Aadeadh and host of others.
