Now coming to this song: dil kabhi manda, she lost sur at quite a few places and when this happens one starts losing interest in what is the feel, energy and other factors. Go to the 2nd antara and I challenge any singer (female) in the current crop to sing that portion in the same laya, same tempo and same scale without losing sur and you would know what I am trying to say. Isme khatarnak jumping notes hai.

What I meant is that someone without knowing all the ragas can still sing many ARR songs. Dont misunderstand me, he is one of my most favourite music directors and I have a big collection of his music. I always feel his music has something that will tempt everyone to sing along without having the fear of getting it wrong - it is supposed to be a compliment to his music. For example, most classical ones turn off many ordinary people because they dont know how to follow the sur-rag-taal in it very well and so they would be scared to sing it. But ARR has proved that music can be enjoyed in full by anyone. 😊
Some examples are Urvasi, Humma, etc.

I absolutely adore her performances and like her kick-ass attitude. She is a well rounded performer. My favs, however, are Naina and Pratibha😃 Vaishail is also coming up pretty good😊

are u editing or commenting?? anyways...my bad. It is indeed get "on" your nerves. You shud be a grammar teacher!!!😉😆 BTW, Yashita is not a poor girl.....don't u know dat she's from a BIG city? Well, dat's wat her, as u said, "kick-ass" attitude shows!!!

naah. I had my share of using "loose" instead of "lose" one too many times😆 Trust me, been there, done that myself too😊

BTW, Yashita is not a poor girl.....don't u know dat she's from a BIG city?

aaahhhhh...are we now implying all who live in big cities are rich😉😛

Well, dat's wat her, as u said, "kick-ass" attitude shows!!!

not really. Her kick-ass attitude stems from self confidence blended with her personality....with chaney key jhaad per chadhana by mentors thrown in along with Zee's scripted dialogues😆 Big city doesn't have much to do with it. In fact, I feel both gals get a kick outa their fake big city vs. small city dialoguebazi😆

i agree with the person who started this. yashita sings well but only the loud rocky kind of songs. she is a big show off and is encouraged to behave in a flirtatious manner. which gets a lot of hype and the population is attracted to such displays. there are others who are real singers and better than her. how dare asma hugs and comforts all the exiting singers. she knows wshe does not belong even close to this show.
it is soooo sad. some of the best singers are gone and the show can not do anything about it. shashi suman, mitika, anupama, manisha soumen..... and here we have tarun ansd asma. even sara should have been gone by now.

Totally with you here. It's perfectly okay to dislike someone.😊

nd a lot of people agree to me....dat is what matters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😛

......and that really should not matter. How does it matter whether lot of people agree with you or disagree with you as long as you know for sure what you like or dislike😉 c'mon now - one should have a bit more confidence in their personal likings/dislikings😛

BTW...u seem to be a grt Yashita Bhakt, covering her flaws all the time...

😆 wrong again😛 I am more a Naina and/or Pratibha fan😊 However, yashita's attitude doesn't bother me much. This show is more about performance and I happen to like watching her performances. Her attitude happens to be a huge part of how she performs. Nothing more nothing less😊

but unfortunately her flaws always show up in front of everyone..no matter how hard u try....
as far as singing is concerned, I feel she really doesn't have those many flaws. To my ears, her songs sound melodious and full of masti.

With you on the bolded part but I feel Yashita happens to be among the good ones too. The red bolded part is so true.

Ah this is where the Grammer story originated. Interesting. Eureka !😆 Yashita is not my favourite yet. Unless she sings some songs that I like then she will gain admittance. Given a choice I prefer Manisha and the sweet Mitika (among those eliminated}. Agree a lot of the things they do or say is only for the show and some tamasha.
