Mentors now talk of X Factor to contestants and ask them to develop their own styles. This may be too early at this stage when many are struggling to remember their lines, sur, taal, low notes, high notes etc. Even Debojit who has a great unique style was forgiven for forgetting his lines( he has X Factor it seems)

Fareed after being asked to open his mouth, was eliminated.
Shashi and many have all gone down the drain after some comments from the Mentors.
Now Pratibha who is doing well has been asked to develop some X Factor? She has already got it and looks great .
Asma has some X factor.

Definition of X Factor: an unexplainable substance that adds value or lends attractiveness and charm. Perhaps Asma has the X Factor ! 😆

I think that X-Factor was being brought up alot to support Yashita and Mitika. Pratibha and Vaishali both were given lecture on that.
I don't think Naina, Pratibha or Vaishali needs to change anything to match to Yashita or Mitika. They are singing superb and should just keep working hard at their singing.

Yes agreed. Next few rounds they will keep talking of X Factor and confuse the poor kids.

I agree. It looks like they are kind of brainwashing the viewers so that a bunch who will fall for it will not vote for Prathibha or Vaishali or the like, and would vote for Yashita or Mitika or Debo instead. It's all cheap politics. Looks like the creators dont know how to keep a straight forward method.
I am not saying Mitika or Debo are bad, but I dont think either Prathibha or Vaishali or Naina are bad either. I wish to see them all along with Shoumen and Shujat to be in the top seven of the challenge...

Mitika has X Factor and so has Asma. This will earn them some extra votes. But Pratiba , Naina, Vaishali have a fan base.

I think that when the mentors talk about X Factor this time, they mean how different or unique is their voice quality and way of singing.

Yes they did mention about uniqueness and something special and different in their voice and style.
Arshad was supposed to be unique and now he is already out.
With public voting even good classical singers may be voted out.
I think it is going to be a popularity contest in the end.😆

I think the X Factor which himesh refers to is not about looks or clothes or style, it is more about the singing quality.
I think waht they mean is that in many such shows there have been many ME TOO singers who ape the existing singers and hence are not able to make a place for themselves after the show. If you see singers like Vinit, Rahul Vaidya, Aneek are very good technically and with their voice but they are all lesser versions of Sonu. Singers like Raja, Toshi are modelled on Sukhvinder.
In order to cast an impression and create an identity in the minds of the viewers the singer needs to be different and original. Only then he will make a huge impact once the show is over.
Singers like Sukhwinder, HR, Kailash Kher, Kunal Ganjawala have made a huge mark because they have their own singing style which gave them an instant identity. So you have the classic voices like a Sonu, Shaan, Abhijeet, Udit and these other guys have found their niches between them and have won audiences.
For me X-Factor in a singer is his ability to be different from this ME TOO type of singing. Its okay to copy a Kavita or a Sonu or a Udit but important is what you bring yourself to the table. After a certain stage (where you have a good voice and sing in sur) it will be only those with a difference who will survive.

Yes they have mentioned that clones have no places. Even if someone sang like Shreya, they may not be remembered. But once they are good, several playback contracts await. Alternatively they have to compose and write their own songs to be remembered and make a mark.
