So, are we discussing new songs that are raag based and fast paced to appeal youngsters or fast paced oldies are game too for this thread?
How about ghadi ghadi mera dil dhadkey from Madhumati? Pretty fast paced, peppy and easy on ears. Based on Raag Bageshri
Here's a website that I stumbled upon while googling fast paced raga based hindi numbers:
Told ya...my stuff here will be all googled but hey....i am learning while googling...ain't I😃

love birds malargale

Thank You ARR for this song from bottom of my heart..!

one of all time favourites, look at breathtaking progression of rhythm, bass guitar and initial song being grown over arpeggio effect. Based on raag Hameer Kalyani & Saraswathi.

Mile Sur Mera Tumhara

One of the best things in India is cultural diversity. I dont think any other country has such diverse set of cultures (though with minor glitches). ?Mile Sur Mera Tumhara..?,released in 1987 commemorating the 40th anniversary of Indian Independence showcases this diversity amazingly. The videos was created in 1988 by Lok Seva Sanchar Parishad, and promoted by Doordarshan to promote national integration. The song was composed by Louis Banks, written by Piyush Pandey. Raga Bharavi, a sampoorna raga, was chosen as the base for the music.

Sorry, can't post the song link right now as youtube is blocked at work😆 But here's a blog where the song links are given. I can't open them from my office though. They mention another song "Baje Sargam" that is based on Raag Des. I haven't heard Baje Sargam but may be you guy would like to do that. Here's the link:
Sorry, all my raga related posts will be googled as I do not know much about Indian Classical and/or ragas.

so far as I understand, mile sur mera tumhara is based on Bhairavi😊 ....From my understanding of music,I do not see any traces of des raag in that song .....yes,baje sargam is based on raag des(beautifuly composed) 👏👏

one more fast paced song from the same album....bheege bheege nayan
In fact, this album has almost all songs in a fast pace or at least in a style which appeals to the layman and yet most of them are classical based 😊

Yes, mile sur mera tumhara was a beautiful bhairavi theme which showed how the same raga could run through the folk music of all the Indian states. It was not fast or racy but I think it still appealed to a lot of people.

raag hamsadhwani. this is a peculiar song while the bassist plays acc to the root chord, keyboarder has liberally added 7th/9th notes bringing diff feelings. A technique mastered by both RDB and IR.
