Thanks for the feedback on her singing. I did not hear the original before. Still I believe Sara can brush up after a few practise rounds and come in very strong.

Sure I love giving feedback 😃. I think she has to be very selective of her song selection, in order to do well.

I think she has great voice quality but she messed up one of my favorite song, kehna hi kya. I think she has a little nasal tone to her voice. May be that is why songs like kabhi aar kabhi paar sounded great in her voice. It is too early to judge any one so let's wait and see.

In Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar the energy was missing due to scale problems. In my opinion everything was sung in relatively the same loud pitch, this made the high notes barely distinguishable. If you hear the original you will notice that the main appeal of this song lies in its scale transitions.

Kabhi aar kabhi paar is sung by Shamshad Beghum, her voice suits this sort of peppy songs. MD here is O P Naiyyar and he was famous for his strong earthy rhythms, this song also has pretty good rhythm and then the lyrics are simply GREAT.
This song doesn't have too many chords/scale change.

In my opinion you should listen to the song again.

There is an obvious rising scale in the mukra itself. There are also scale transitions and. jumping high and low notes also within the mukra itself.

tunhe
re
kiya ah ar (high)
gayle (low to high/ rising scale) mor jig (low)

bhi bhi ga zaar (high notes)
ka aar ka paar la thir hi na (low notes)

Well in my opinioin this is not scale change, there are two basic chords only here and scale is same.

i have still not seen any performances since SRGmp is still not airing in US
but looking at her performances, i have to say singers seem talented this time!
in Kehna, notes were low, but i liked her voice quality..she has a sweet voice which that song required
kabhi yar was ok, didn't find anything great in it!

Ok your entitled to your opinion but your misreading what I wrote and I don't like being misinterpretated 👎🏼.

Saying "scale is same" doesn't make much sense here because I was referring to the rising scale which repeats itself over and over again each time the mukra is sung. It occurs more than once throughout the song hence I used "scale transitions" not "SCALES transitions."

Do read what I wrote correctly next time before jumping to any conclusions.

I also never said that the song Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar was not a great song. Sara's rendition of it was not as great as it could have been.

Even if what you are saying is correct this is not the kind of language I would use for any one, we should be sensitive to each other. I only politely disagreed and gave my POV why this song is great, not with intention to demean any one, any way I walk out of this thread, carry on.

I seriously doubt you had noble intentions in deliberately misinterpreting what I had to say and then trying to disagree. I was giving you a frank suggestion so we could avoid this situation next time and I'm also walking out. If you are going to disagree with me of course I will let you know if your misinterpreting me and to justify my reasoning.
