Attitude plays important role , Half of persformance depends upon contestant's feel to the song and attitude . If a kid is singing the song with all the techinques and surs but less or no attitude then performance will not touch our heart ... So for me , Attitude and Feel required to the track also plays very important role to any performance :)

But at this stage, the children are not into playback singing...yes that's their goal in future, but I feel competition being visual, some degree of attitude and energy is required on stage.
If this was a radio contest, energy would not be required - anyway, at the end of the day, to each their own. 👍🏼

For me, Sniti Mishra was the best singer in last year's competition, and she never brought any dancing to the stage, but she won my heart with her haunting voice.
