Like their senior contemporaries, these young artistes are mesmerising Bollywood with their singing prowess

Last week, mid-day had introduced you to Indian singer-songwriter Manj Musik's son Anoop Singh, who ventured into professional music with the single, You Can't Stop This Party, which saw him collaborate with Toronto-based rapper Humble The Poet. Singh, 11, spoke about his ambitious aspirations, including his desire to follow in daddy's footsteps and work with Hollywood musicians.

The young singer isn't alone in his endeavour to make a name at a young age. While several child artistes have made a mark in the music industry, the boom in children's reality shows has further prompted filmmakers to exploit young voices. Here's looking at the little stars who have grabbed the opportunity to showcase their playback skills in Bollywood.

Tanishkaa Sanghvi

Daughter of composer Sachin Sanghvi (of Sachin-Jigar fame), Tanishkaa, 9, made her playback debut with the song Vande Mataram from ABCD 2 (2015). She recently lent her voice to the soulful number, Ek Jindari, from Hindi Medium.

Anjali Gaikwad

Hailing from Ahmednagar, this young talent was ARRahman's find. She complemented AR Ameen's vocals in Mard Maratha (Sachin: A Billion Dreams), and also sang two other numbers in the docu-drama, Cricket Kara and Veer Maratha. Taking to his social media profile a few days ago, Rahman shared an image of Gaikwad and wrote, "My new favourite singer Anjali from Ahmednagar." The singer, who has trained under her father, Angad Gaikwad, is a participant on the musical reality show, SaReGaMaPa L'il Champs.

Sarwar Khan and Sartaj Khan Barna

The track Hanikarak Bapu from Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal (2016), turned Sarwar Khan, from Dangri village, and Sartaj Khan, son of renowned khartal player Gazi Khan Barna, from Barna, Jaisalmer, into overnight stars. "Before singing the track, only our neighbours knew of our skill. Now, even those from the neighbouring villages come and click selfies with us," says Khan. Barna adds, "We hadn't imagined that we would get such a platform. People know us by our names now."

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs today continues the with the India Ki Farmayish as the first on the stage today is the best we have on the show! Yes you guessed it-Anjali Gaekwad. She walks right in and obliges her fan who is an astrologer, she conquers again. Javed Ali who is the most ardent Anjali shipper just wants to get more and more as he asks her to sing some of the lines again. Neha Kakkar rightly calls Anjali the ustaad-ini of the show. Later we have some fun moments when the astrologer looks at Neha and Adityas hand and proclaims them to be a perfect jodi also he asks Adi to marry a banana tree so he can have his wish fulfilled soon. Adi agrees to marry the complete Banana garden. SMP has a special fan who is an RJ at 92.7 FM RJ Anirudh. He asks SMP to sing the two songs One Two Cha Cha and Koi Yahan together. Riya comes next and her fans are a doctor couple from Mumbai and they express their love for Riya by saying they seem to forget their stress when they listen to Riya. VG has a very beautiful fan who has just lost her husband a few months back. She tells the audience how she and her music loving romantic husband used to listen to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa together and how they loved it. She requests VG to perform Zindagi ke safar pe guzar jaathey hae. Every eye is moist by the time VG finishes the song and the lady cannot express her feelings as she praises VG and tells us how she misses her husband right now. She requests another song when Adi asks her if her husband was a romantic. Adi is the cutest and he gets the lady onstage as he sings the ae meri zohra jabi' he hugs her and also gifts her a rose as she blesses him. Jayes finds his fans in the cameramen today as they request him to sing the sar jo tera chakraye', he takes the stage by storm and everyone is hopping around. Sonakshi has a fan couple from UK and she amazes them, they reciprocate their love with some chocolates. The epic Performer for the day is Dhroon Tikkoo.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs today has the jury and champs sharing the stage and we can help but bounce in our seats grooving to the best music in a while. Today we have another surprise that is the presents ka pitaara, revealing some of the secrets of the champs. Dhroon and Pawni walk in first and charm us once again. Dhroon takes out Riya's phone from the pitaara, and the gundi is revealed to have distorted everyone's faces, even the three judges. Riya reveals she enjoys every bit of doing this. Next is SMP with Suzzane and they go Ramba ho ho in style. Himesh says the performance is better than the original one. Jayes Kumar walks in next looking rather hot in kurta. Later Aditya unclogs Shabbir's throat and makes him sing in the most feminine voice ever. Next is Anjali with Vaishali and as usual everything that Anjali does goes down in history. Jayes Kumar does the qawali with Shivshankarji and pulls the judges on stage. Next comes out of the pitara Nehas bucket of tears. Neha cannot stop laughing when the video plays her crying through the season. Later Adi helps Neha carry the weight of her tears back to her seat. The pitara comes out again and this time Aftaab's secret comes out in the form of a flush, Jayes reveals about how poor Aftaab forgets to flush. The gross discussion ends with Aftaab taking a vow over Adi's head that he will never do it again. Sonakshi walks in with Debojit as they sing vaada karo chodoge na tum mera saath. Anjali gets a hanger from the pitaara and the title of being a Ms. hanger for she eats so much yet does not get fat. Out of the pitaara comes the DID cap and it is handed over to Mr. Ajin. Shreyan gets a touch me not plant from the pitara while the girls walk up as they pluck his cheeks. Riya reveals that Shreyan just pretends to not like it but in reality he enjoys it very much.

And himesh sir, felt so sweetness in the song and surs of mahrashtra girls that he offered sweet of maharashtra to both singers..
