Preparing for the 200mn pageviews/month

Hi Friends,

At India Forums we constantly strive hard to improve and build it as THE fastest, best, and ever growing.

We have already crossed the 300,000 mark and now we are back to our coding desk working towards the 1 Million mark so that we are prepared to take on the traffic of something around 200 Million pageviews a month.

And as we make improvements you will find the speed to be even better then before. (As usual) 😆

Many may not even realize the difference that much as for a member its normally few milliseconds but then they can easily see the time a page takes to generate is always given on the bottom of the page. Something like:

This page was generated in 0.0156 seconds.

We consider that anything below 0.20 seconds is fine and for the ones which takes more we will fix them too.

For me its really exciting work as its always a challenge working on such a huge database and coding pages for traffic of this size.
