So IF is now available in total new Avatar! Vijay and his Dev team have achieved a great feat!

Most of the data is intact in migration. Just imagine, the link between user id and DP getting corrupted. Such DB mishaps have not happened. Your face has remained your face!

There are so many new features. Facebook or twitter don't allow you to save drafts, the New IF Now Does!

You get all your notifications same as facebook or twitter. So you know who hit like on your post.

Your messages are shown in notification and can be directly accessed from there!

All your Idols have been updated with latest pics. I checked Barun with Advay photo. (Smiley!) You check your idol!

You can copy links of the posts to embed anywhere else. Also posts can be directly shared on facebook or twitter.

In each thread, topic info is available at a glance. One can see thread starter's post as well as your posts separately.

You can mark any thread as watch the topic. It's like star marking your mail in Gmail.There's endless list. But let me now return to main topic.

I hugely appreciate the EIQ (Emotional IQ) of Vijay and his team. They must be finding themselves on hotplates at the moment, fixing bugs one after the other. And the way users are bashing against Vijay and team, God Help! I genuinely appreciate his patience, when I come across a few comments!

I admire Vijay's guts and his honesty that he opens a personal thread for people to post and convey the issues they are facing. Users should be thankful that a channel is available. Gmail/Facebook/Twitter give you just a mechanised DB message.

Whoever designed the User Interface, hats off! You guys are really thinking about what you are putting there. I saw Thugs of Hindustaan, (the great Amitabh and Aamir looks), then I saw Mogambo Khush Hua Look and I bolted up when I saw Gabbar! That man created a legend, he remains immortal in our hearts. So whoever got this idea in IF team, Congrats people!

Any change brings friction. When my hubby bought me latest smartphone, it was new, it was faster, it was better but I wasn't habituated to it. So I fretted for my old smartphone. The whole thing just needs time! We need time to get habituated to New IF Now and they need time to fix all bugs. Everybody is going to come round, like how I now love my new smartphone(smile)

Does the Books Forum still exist?

Am not happy with the new layout at all, just doesn’t feel like indiaforums. I wish they would get back the old layout. I do feel the number of people using IF will reduce now as it no longer feels like the old IF.

Lol who asked them to change the old format in the first place..Before changing it,they should have taken the opinions of the majority of the people into consideration.They were the one ruined it...They have to face it....Here ppl are facing many basic problems....The things you have mentioned like notification,link sharing on FB....we dont need those extra options at the cost of old layout and old format which was fantastic IMO...Here "we" includes majority of the forum members....You might be liking the layout....But its not case with the majority...The new layout is horrible and headache inducing....the font,the glaring colors everything about the layout is not good for eyes...cant use it more than 15 mins...its headache inducing......Anyway if it is more or less similar to FB or twitter ...we wouldnt have signed in this site in the first place...This site was simple and user friendly....thats the only reason we preferred it over other SM sites to post our opinions....Anyway,IF wouldnt have existed without its forum members right...so they need patience to deal with the complaints.....

Regarding smart phone example,i would buy better version compared to older one by testing and selecting it....If someone gifted me new phone...i wouldnt throw old phone if it is more comfortable and user friendly than gifted one....My point is..its not about adjustment...When we had no problem with old format...I see no point in changing it....They should have added one or two extra features to the old format....there was no need for the complete revamp of layout and everything

can someone tell me where can we see our signature box in this new IF thing ?? And can someone tell me where are the emoticons icons which we can use here i see some ppl posting emojis but where are you all posting from??

i am seriously missing the old IF it was more close to me this white white color is really making me sad

Majority of us prefer old format of IF.

In this new layout it's not one or two things which need to be fixed it's huge sorry to say whoever made this has messed everything it's all complicated confusing and not at all user friendly.

In old format was better in simple way.Kuch naya karne k chakkar me pura bigad diya.

Don't feel like to come here.

It's frustrating to come hee now.

Hi Nihara!Chill girl! Same as you, I have equal rights to say my thing on IF.

Why getting so hassled up? ......Don't! For your own sake! It makes you look old faster..... take it patiently, tell IF team nicely, things will work out!

IF is a public forum, not our personal property that we will be asked opinion! And then, Vijay did ask for feedback long back...... So give him credit, girls!

Don't get bound on making it a war! The world and our lives have much bigger issues to fret over.
