I have a suggestion sir. Deactivation could work the way banned users work. The message would say the user has deactivated its account. Nor the post will be deleted, neither the thread structure will be disturbed.
Deactivation of account is easier but deletion is a challenge due to how forums is structured.Reason deleting user forum posts is a challenge cause all the posts are linked to the first post and deleting that will make all the responses to that post inaccessible. For example:If I created a topic with a question and I got over 50 responses. And all of a sudden I want my post to be deleted it will impact those 50 responses too as without the context of the first post its hard to understand the responses. And as a member I would not like to lose my post due to someone else deleting their account. If you have suggestions which solves this problem we can certainly look into it.So personally I recommend members not to share any personally identifiable information on the forums.
