Recent changes on I-F to Control Spam / MIDs - Page 13

In order to fight the spammers to the site we have implemented IP restrictions to not allow new account creation from the same IP within a certain time range.

In the event you have more suggestions to improve the site in respect of MIDs and Spammers please do share with us and we will see if we can implement the same.

Unfair for the Original Newbies. But for handling MID's main ID should get direct warning. No Mercy !!

In PR forum i have seen so many MIDs make ids a week back or a day back just to get even with members that may be a new member or someone who has been here for the past five years.

i personally have been attacked horribly in the same forum, a fellow member has been called names filthy as dirt, gay etc just cause the person had different opinions when compared to the common notion. the person got banned twice but people who called those names are still rampant around. IF doesnt handle personal attacks the way they should be. It has turned me off IF for good though i still visit it sometimes not sure for how long.

the MIDs are most common when fans arent respectful enough.

The PM reminds me, i got a PM from a old member telling me i am being unreasonable and the likes, basically telling me to keep my views to myself (i will admit i dont even remember the content of that PM) Well i reported it and mods found it offensive so they raised the WL and the next PM i got from the same person making fun of me as if am a baby who goes out to reporting every PM i get etc.. this is the bottomline i got from the PM. So it means either the report button isnt respected by these people that they find fault in this as well or that they think their justifications are apt when it comes to calling names?
