Hi Vijay,
First and foremost, kudos to you and your team. IF has seen tremendous growth since I joined and I've been glad to be along for the ride through it all.
I see you already have an impressive list of ideas and updates in mind. Yours is a fairly comprehensive list of improvements IF could use and will see in the future. Most of the other ideas have been posted by other members as well.
I only had two requests/suggestions:
1) Search feature within a thread. Similar to the search button for individual users that displays all the threads they have posted in, but instead, the thread search would yield a list of all the users who have posted in the thread. This would make following exchanges or comments by particular members easier, especially within those threads that run into 50+ pages.
2) An auto-save feature for a reply message. This would be something similar to the feature Blogger and LiveJournal have, where and incomplete post is autosaved and the next log-in to that page yields the message as saved to the last point. I'm not sure how feasable this would be considering the complexity of layers involved at IF (all those sections, each section having it's own section wtih hundreds of threads), but it would certainly be a convenient feature. I can't tell you the number of times I've started a lengthy, in-depth reply only to click off onto a different page and come back to a blank reply box, or the number of times my computer has decided to freeze mid-post and I've lost the entire contents of my post.
Anyway, these were just thoughts. I'm rather happy with IF as is, and look forward to any and all changes you bring about to improve our "cyber-home".
Best wishes 😊
Simi
