Gripping the weapon in his hand, the menacing murderer slowly makes his way right up to Sanchi. Just as he is about to raise his hand on her to mete a strike, Sanchi spots his shadow and slips away. Picking up a stick from a corner she turns around and thrashes him. The unanticipated assault compels him to drop the knife down.
Taking instant advantage of the opportunity, the daring girl picks up the knife and points it at him as she yells aloud 'What did you think... that YOU are the only one who knows how to play a game? That your people would keep following us and we'd not even have a clue? Thought of yourself as a player, didn't you...well...now, I've trapped you instead...your face shall be revealed to everyone today'
They show a few moments where she recalls how she'd planned to entrap the kidnapper!
How she'd made a prank call about evidence and how she'd spoken loudly about meeting at the university - thus ensuring the goons outside could overhear her and inform their 'boss'!
Holding the knife in his direction, she continues threatening him. However, how could she be any match for a grown-up man who had murder on his mind? In no time, he knocks the weapon from her hand which forces Sanchi to flee for her safety. She runs towards the university gates but finds them locked. The dead security guard lying in a corner was definitely no help either!
As she watches the dangerous man approach her closer and closer, she picks up the guard's wooden chair and hits him with it (I think, I had to guess from the quality of the links) and evades yet another attack. Soon after, she runs away from the scene to hide herself from him. By the time he picks his weapon and turns around to seek her - she'd disappeared!
Covertly hiding herself behind a few dense bushes, she watches his ominous steps prancing about in the campus looking for her. Just then, she realizes that she'd dropped her mobile some place and she takes a few steps around the spot to make a quick search. However, just as she's about to pick it up - she watches him standing there - towering on top of her. The light from the mobile phone's display screen had managed to attract his attention. Within the flash of a second, she picks her phone and then splashes a fistful of mud into his eyes before making her third escape from him.
Now desperate and terrified, she utilizes what seemed like a few spare moments to make a quick call to the only one she trusted.
Watching his mobile ring, Indu picks up his phone
'Indu Singh...' she tearfully stutters, her voice barely louder than a murmur 'Please come to the campus as soon as you can...' she pauses to make a few glances around her 'He's following me...he'll kill me...just come here as soon as you can'
Able to discern that her voice was trembling, Indu screams in fear 'Sanchi ji...who's going to kill you?'
However, by the time he could get any further information from her, the call gets cut. Flustered by why she'd reached the campus alone, he hops on to his jeep and rushes to get to her.
Hiding behind a tree, she peeks over when she spots the gleaming blade of the knife aimed on its bark right beside her face. Shrieking in fear, she eludes him once again and runs into the university building. Scampering towards the store room, she gets inside and locks it from within. The killer knew she was in as no later than 2 seconds after - he starts knocking the door vehemently! Shivering in fright, the girl does not know what to do, as she hides herself behind a few boxes.
However, the masked man does finally manage to get in through the windows while she is forced to hop behind one pile of box to another for some form of concealment.
My my did Indu look 'hot' as he made his speedy way through the deserted streets of Benaras to reach his girl on time! Shifting gears forcefully and man-handling the steering, he reaches the outskirts of the campus not long after. Just as his vehicle screeches to a halt outside the college, Indu makes a quick call to his friends and instructs them to reach there on time. A moment later, the worried young man makes a call to Sanchi to find out where she was!
When she notes her mobile ring, Sanchi doesn't know how to react. The fateful loud tone of her mobile manages to alert the assailant to the spot in which she was hiding. Unable to pick her call, she evades his attack once again just in time. Becoming increasingly irritated by his failed attempts to trap her, the murderer starts throwing about the boxes hither and thither to track her down. Making use of this opportunity, Sanchi slips into a dark cupboard and locks herself from within. However, the man strikes his weapon on its wooden doors and destroys its doors too, forcing her to make yet another escape attempt!
On reaching the campus gates, he finds it locked. However, he could note signs of struggle from within - the broken chair, the murdered security guard and the sort! Deftly climbing over the iron gates, he makes another quick call to Inspector Balram to alert him about the trouble Sanchi was in at the campus.
Thereafter, he darts about in the campus corridors and makes a few quick glimpses. Not able to locate her anywhere, he finally shouts out for her - to let her know he'd come.
Since she couldn't respond by answering him back, she starts typing him a text message to let him know that she was hiding in the store room. However, just as she's about to send it, the murderer locates her. While dodging his advances, she spots a plastic tub and hurls it at him to shake him off his balance.
Then, she makes a quick dash towards the door of the store room to get out as soon as she could. While doing so, she finally finds her voice and responds to Indu's calls.
while Indu tries to pinpoint where her voice was coming from, Sanchi struggles to unlatch the door - it was a tad bit too high for her!
Eventually, realizing that the voice was coming from some place upstairs, he runs upstairs in search of her.
In the meantime, the murderer grabs Sanchi and flings her away from the store room door before making repeated strikes at her with his knife. After ducking over and over to avoid the weapon, the exasperated girl uses the aid of a wooden plank to get rid of him this time.
Once she ultimately manages to unlock the door, the flustered girl presses the 'send' button in her mobile phone, as she flees the murderer's clutches.
Indu finally gets her text during his fretful search missions and hurries towards the store room. Skipping and hopping over the upturned boxes, he searches for her presence in the ransacked place but she was nowhere to be seen. Gasping for breath, he comes out of the room and makes another call to his friends to let them know he couldn't find her.
By chance, Sanchi tiptoes back towards the corridor and finds Indu Singh on his phone at the other end. With his back to her, Indu didn't realize she was there. Momentarily wondering what to do, the exhausted girl is about to walk towards him but the killer comes in her way with his tell-tale knife. Yelping his name, she's forced to run once again. She hurries down the steps of the university as the murderer follows her closely behind.
Barely hearing his name being taken by her, Indu senses that she'd possibly rushed past behind him. He turns around and starts seeking Sanchi once again - repeatedly yelling out for her. Growing increasingly vexed at being unable to locate her, he screams out louder as he scurries around the university looking for her 'Sanchi ji...where are you...where are you..'
Running from one classroom to another, Indu grows more and more apprehensive while he calls out to her 'Why don't you say something Sanchiji... where are you?'
At this point, Sanchi is hiding in a computer room unable to respond to Indu's cries. Why, the murderer even manages to walk past her, stamping her hand but doesn't realize she was there until later. Then what follows is a run and chase between Sanchi and her assailant, till they reach the top floor - i.e. the university terrace.
Hiding behind a pillar, Sanchi spots the murderer looking over the terrace. Steeling herself, the girl tiptoes towards him and then with one mighty push, nudges him over the terrace.
Having just done so, the tearful girl breaths a heavy sigh of relief!
Hearing Indu Singh's anxious calls, she responds - her voice overcome with emotion 'Indu Singh, I'm here...upstairs...'
Her voice reaches him, but he's inside a classroom at one end of the university.
The next scene we see the murderer emerging behind her. He hadn't fallen off the terrace, but had been holding on to the railings of its parapet. The masked man was none other than Professor Dasrath Shukla!
Precap - continues with the murder attempt on her - Coiling her dupatta around her neck, Shukla starts pulling her from behind!
