LODGE & POLICE
So unfortunate for the foursome that the police had beat them to getting to the lodge owner!
So we then see our cute Mr.Balram Saheb back - I really missed him during the finale of the Swetha case - seeing how he'd been the one following the case all through!
Anyway, the inspector charismatically walks up to the lodge owner and starts questioning the absent-minded man
'Satish Mishra kaun hai?' the inspector asks
'Satish Mishra Kaun hai?' the owner ponders for a few seconds and then replies 'Haan mai hoon!'😆
'Tumne mujhe phone kyun kiya?'
'Maine aapko kab phone kiya!'😆
The miffed officer goes on to hurl him a volley of accusations '*&$"(*$^*"$^...blah blah... third degree denge na.. tho naani kaaki sab yaad aa jaayengi tumhe' (Loool🤣)
Then Balram shows him the photo of the girl to see if he'd recollect something.
Mishra again can't remember anything about the girl and that only manages to infuriate the police officer all over again! (God bless anyone who has to deal with this forgetful man...)
Just as the police officers are about to leave, Indu and the group breathe a sigh of relief that Mishraji couldn't divulge anything - thanks to his wonderful memory. However, much to their dismay, he eventually does manage to recollect Rubina's face and hands over Sanchi's book to Balwant too.
Indu's and Sanchi's roller coaster of emotions reaches its lowest wave when they realize they'd lost the game of 'who finds the tell-tale economics book'!
POLICE STATION
Now for being somewhat smart, the police officer does seem to take his own time to come to a conclusion - that the easiest way to track the owner of the book would be to actually flick through its initial pages for any clues!
UNIVERSITY
Sanchi is still hesitant about continuiung with Indu's plans.. I actually feel sorry for the girl. Murder is a terrifying thing and a very small wrong deed of her's (the kidnapping drama) is making her pay for it big time! She can't seem to agree to do mistake upon mistake to cover one lie... yet, she'd bee too lonely if she opposed the remaining three - so she goes along with their plan of tampering with the library records!
LIBRARY
RJN tracks seriously do run (they skip all stages of walking, pausing, gliding etc) Because, in no time we already see the group are at the library at night - searching through its registers etc.
Loool it was so cute to see Indu fast-forwarding through the list of names written down in the register and then do a bit of maths too... (while calculating dates).
Additionally, it was quite cute to watch him jump over tables to seek a hiding spot when the librarian arrived (while all others just chose to run lol!).
Loool and not to mention that in the next scene he looked nothing short of a puppy - what with the piece of paper dangling from his mouth as he snakes under the table and chairs
'Sathya naash ho us librarian ka' he mutters angrily as she ends up locking them in. Lool Indu you appear really frustrated today!
Now, Indu seems really desperate to hide their involvement with Rubina at any cost! And he seemed like a proper commander today - the manner in which he took charge of the situation for then (though his deeds are wrong)
I loved How he orders Abhimanyu to speak in a low tone
I loved How he explains that they HAD to keep their lights off to not attract any untoward attention
I loved The manner in which he advices Sanchi to mute her phone
I loved The frustration with which he calls his trusted friend Guddu and wakes him up
Finally we got to see our four missing friends - why, its been so long, Rajjo's even grown a beard!
Now, couldn't the hot-shot friends get a locksmith to accompany them at night? Instead, they were busy using stone age tactics of breaking the lock with a rock in the middle of the night! (when Indu was ordering everyone inside to talk in whispers)
MATHURS'
For once it's funny to watch how profoundly confounded and muddled Sadanand seemed - and how puzzled Radha was becoming by his strange actions!
Precap
Quite thrilling - INSA & Meh-Man are still trapped in the library come next morning - the police are there soon after!
MY BIGGEST GRIPE
Why are the CVs rushing like the serial has been given only 3 weeks to wrap up or something...couldn't they take things a bit more slowly?
I expected a bit more out of the library scenes, but they were nothing short of a rush through...
Apparently, the four had been trapped for most of the night - but all we see are Sanchi, Mehek and Abhimanyu standing exactly on the same spot all night, while Indu's nervously pacing all through!
If the CVs spend a few seconds more trying to show some change in emotions/behaviour here and there, there'll be equal emphasis on the drama as there'd be on the story (Rubina's murder is a perfect example where the thrill and drama were equally balanced)
Today they could have shown something different through the course of the night - like one of them giving up - or one of them breaking down - or one of them becoming tired - or one feeling thirsty - or Indu comforting Sanchi - something...but no...nothing...in 4 minutes they wrapped up 8 hours...well, you don't just stand in the same place for 8 hours and do nothing else!
