Well, just a quick recap -
Hmmm I'm waiting to watch how the track unfolds... I hope the CVs are not chewing more than they can digest!
There are many many open tracks going on at the same time - Shukla's mystery, Rubina's mystery, property papers/money/affair - all on at the same time... now, is Manwa a mystery - I don't know, INSA and Mehek/Manwa story evolving at the same time! *Phew*
RUBINA'S MURDER
But, believe it or not the best executed scene in the whole of last week had to be rubina's murder...RJN CVs really know how to direct IMPACT... the rain, the light flashes in a dark setting, Rubina's body and blood laying in the wet slush, AD's ASTOUNDING expressions, Manwa/Mehek's loss of words, Sanchi's shrieking (though annoying at a point, still justified). The group looked exactly like a batch of college-goers that had done something gravely wrong... that scene looked precisely like the I-Know-What-you-did-last-summer hollywood movie genre!!!!
However, as always I was against the kidnapping story (doesn't achieve anything and has been repeated too many times in RJN for its own good) and definitely against the burying-the-body bit too! Just when INSA are taking a turn for the positive, Sanchi has something against Indu here and she is justified too.. she had been advising them all along that this would lead to disastrous consequences and it did!
DOSTI AND ROMANCE
There were some elements I liked, some lovely and many rushed!!! The episodes were typical of RJN standard...a few cute smiles, a few RJN hey-hey background music and many wasted fleeting opportunities!
If only they'd invested the same amount of effort into directing romance (side-by-side) as they did into directing thrills... take the rubina scene for example - the buildup, the pace, the backdrop, INSA's reactions - all of it was perfect and yet we didn't feel bored for one second..why not the same for romance too?
Why not a few more seconds to delve on the scene? Why not slightly slower? Why is everything so matter-of-fact when it comes to INSA romance? Please let us sit and enjoy the ride for a few more seconds... Indu's accepting her dosti scene was so sweet - but would have been much sweeter had he spent a few more seconds melting down due to her smile and finally taking the time to relish her hand in his!!!
Anyway, lets see how this week unfolds...let's see how CVs culminate the three-four parallel tracks they've taken on at the same time! (probably to boost the TRPs!)
