Ishika's father's name being ROO/RUpesh is so telling and it is not a coinicidence at all... they could of chosen any other name but gave her father a name that has ROOP in it (however way you spell it RUP or ROOP).
(foreshadowing/clue/hint - whatever you want to call it, It does seem like Ishika's life partner will have RUP/ROOP in the name like her dad š)
Ishika clearly states she didn't just take her father's name along with her name because society accepts it but overall because she is proud to be associated with her father's name.
Ishika lists as he's the world's best person to her & the best father hence an important part of her and her life hence why his name is important to her.
That her father gave her the strength & support to chase her dreams, she wants to make him and his name proud. Her father not only taught her badminton but also taught her to contribute to life/world hence her choosing Science as it is giving back to others in the long run & in the future.
If her father was all this to her, no doubt Ishika and any other woman would want her life partner to have same/similar traits.
The way she talked about her father and how she feels what she should do as person and make her father's name proud etc. I feel like it's a foreshadow of how Ishika will be with her and Roop.
One day if/when Ishika becomes Ishika Roopendra Singh, she will be proud to take the name not just as a wife does & society accepts it but because Roop is everything a man should be and more, no doubt make him proud as a person, as a husband and to his name, ... And along the way questioning society why can't a woman take her husband's name and make it proud in the work field or beyond more then just being a homemaker/housewife etc
We also get to learn for Ishika - Family comes first, another trait in her that has Roop falling one step further for her.
He already can see underneath her anger and frustrations she is rather sweet, and that he likes to tease her even more to anger her as its quite endearing seeing her like that. He also has seen the way she stands up to any misbehaving behaviour and standing up for women.
