Doctor-turned-television-actor, marketing director of Elder Pharmaceuticals and a restauranteur, Anuj Saxena has spread his wings in Telugu and Tamil films. Well, not as an actor to start with but as producer. anuj's production company, 'Maverick Productions' that was launched 15 months ago and which has produced more than 20 ad commercials besides a sitcom "Khiladi No.1" for Zee Smile, has tied up with Vision Technology for production of South Indian films in Telugu and Tamil languages for the next three years. "South Indian films have huge market potential. Keeping that in mind I have entered into production of south Indian feature films. I am sure we will soon enter into Bollywood film production also", says Anuj Saxena who is currently playing a key role in Sony's afternoon daily "Riston Ki Dor". The tie-up for production of films in south Indian languages is a precursor to "anuj's foray into Bollywood production that will happen a few years down the line. But before Hindi films take off, Anuj is focusing on making serials. His forthcoming show is a daily soap. Meanwhile Anuj has sponsored an AIDS awareness film, 'Ek Aur Prananjali' which will be shown to youth across all colleges in Mumbai.
