REVEALED: The base plot of Star Plus' next - 'Rishton Ka Chakravyuh'!

The promo of the show has a mystery to it.

Star Plus is all set to launch their next outing titled Rishton Ka Chakravyuh, a family drama that centres a troubled relationship between a mother (Narayani Shastri as Satrupa) and a daughter (Mahima Makwana as Anami).

We sat down with both Mahima Makwana (Anami) and Narayani Shastri (Satrupa) and got them talking about their respective characters and also the base plot.

Says Mahima, "The name of the show itself gives you a gist of what the show is all about. There is so much of hatred between the mother and daughter. But while Anami completely hates her mother, Satrupa does not hate her daughter and just dislikes a few things about Anami."

Narayani says, "The story of Chakravyuh is way more complicated than shown in the promo. Anami's hatred for her mother is completely justified. Infact, what every character does in Chakravyuh is justified as there is a reason behind it."

Narayani also reveals, "There is no nice or positive character in the show, there is a lot of grey, which is there in everyone's daily life. Koi bhi insaan doodh ka dhula nai hota. Some people are darker and some people are more white."

Narayani also speaks about Anami and her character.

"Anami is a pure soul, very innocent and lovable and does not have any malice against anyone in her mind, whereas Satrupa exactly opposite. She is manipulative, a power player, very business minded and will play games to achieve what she wants," she says.

With the character sketches revealed and the base plot understood, we cannot wait for the show to go on-air.

Akash Gill, who played the negative role in 'Gangaa' will be back in action soon with Rolling Pictures and Taurus Media's upcoming show 'Rishton Ka Chakravyuh' on Star Plus.

We heard, "Akash will be seen playing Baldev (Ajay Chaudhary) and Sudha's (Sangita Ghosh) son Narottam. As Narottam is Sudha's step son, she doesn't want him to become the legal heir, hence, she raises him as a girl. As a kid, he was forced to wear a ghaghra under shirt and behave like a girl. Because of his upbringing, Narottam is effeminate."

When quizzed Akash if he was reluctant to play a janegirl in the show, he said, "To be very frank, initially I felt that on-screen, I might look awkward and might not be able to do the justice to the character. But then I took it as a challenge and gave the green signal."

For those uninitiated, Akash has played the role of immortal martyr Bhagat Singh in a bilingual film 'Jung-E-Azadi', which was directed by ace film director and screenwriter Shyam Benegal.

'Rishton Ka Chakravyuh' also features other actors like Narayani Shastri, Mahima Makwana, Sangeeta Ghosh, Ajay Chaudhary, Praneet Bhatt along with Anju Mahendru and Tom Alter.

Star Plus recently launched the magnum opus show, Aarambh, and now, it is all set to bring forth a gritty family drama, Rishton Ka Chakravyuh soon.

The promos of the show have been on-air for a while now and they have raised the interest of many. And here is yet another aspect which makes the show even bigger.

According to a leading news daily, co-writer, Niraj Shukla who penned the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Raees is also the writer for Rishton Ka Chakravyuh.

The writer mentioned how the concept of Rishton Ka Chakravyuh struck him back in 2015 when his mother was suffering from breast cancer and she used to read the Mahabharata and Ramayana. She once mentioned to him that if Karna would have been a girl, the whole Mahabharata would have changed. This is how the writer found his Anami (Mahima Makwana).

We wish Niraj all the best for this new venture!

I loved to see Satrupa all restless while Anami was unable to sleep, and soon after she fell asleep, Satrupa had this calm, satisfactory, happy smile on her face, finally being able to see her daughter get rid of the unrest. I know, Satrupa as a character has shades, mostly gray, and what she did with Anami can not be justified anyhow, but she does love Anami somewhat. It will be interesting to see them grow as characters and form a bond, together.

Today's episode was damn entertaining. But damn, the girl doesn't realize that she up against her own reflection in her mother. Satrupa knows Anami is going out of her way to appear uncouth and unsophisticated so that she'll be forced to send her off to Banaras. I felt sorry for the Royal family, they are basically collateral damage in this war between mother and daughter. I liked how she was unaffected by her grand Tamasha and just continued to eat breakfast.
But Avdoot's new name: Samosa Chaap Launda...👏 and his mother Titly Rani...😆😆😆 But I loved Satrupa when she said she won't tolerate anything against her daughter to her father-in-law. Daman, Satrupa the lioness is a treat to watch.
Precap: Anami bowleds out Adhiraj, looks like it'll take a while for him to figure out her true identity and Pagli Panditayn wants her daughter back, awww 😊
