despite us raising this concern. we are patient. Else there would have been a lot more backlash for the PH and channel. But what is equally true is that the word "parallel track" "Pivotal role" when describing new entries associated with this track and the clear message in the new promo (which didnt just talk about precap of monday epi but of the love lives of Yash vs Dira) does not in any way bode well. The tag used for this promo was Yash is seeing fresh breath of love come his way while because Diya is drunk Ratan is badhawas. it was a clear comparison between the two tracks - which could have been avoided.
at the end of the day, as you have said, we need to wait and see what PH is doing and then only protest. but what is equally true is that sometimes when we protest late, the next 5-6 days worth of epi is at least shot. and 10 days worth of wrong track will have good bit of impact on the show.
Lets not forget, a good bit of reason for Haasil sinking was that they focused on love track and pretending to show ranvir was good for a similar number of epis. they never recovered from that.
i for one wouldnt want our show to get to a stage where it is too difficult to recoup from the mess created.
there was a big halla after marraige track...when both dira were justifiable under pressure and when everyone knew this was temporary. i was there trying to calm everyone down too. because that is exactly what it was always going to be..temporary.
this is being given indication as something that will not be from the looks of it.
Hi foresight, I agree with you about the promo. That was unnecessary. But what was to be noted was that Yash was always known as a parallel lead from the start and we've seen what kind of screen space he gets. That leads me to believe even his love story would not be taking that kind of screen space as many are worrying about. Moreover, that was just their PH promo, not a channel promo that everyone will see. Because in channel promos, Dira was always the focus, even during Abhay's entry. The show's channel promos and OLVs are always focused on Dira.
Moreover, the problem with Haasil was that it was a finite series, so they didn't have much motivation to change the storyline. Plus, I heard that the PH was horrible and unresponsive to fans' feedback. They insisted that Ranvir was grey despite him being clear black and were rude to fans. On the other hand, RLHN's PH has been more responsive to feedback; changing Diya's costumes, not prolonging Ratan's immature, insensitive behaviour once it became clear that the fans weren't liking it. Moreover, they don't plan to make RLHN finite (and with Sony shutting Haasil despite their TRPs being 0.4), I'm sure the PH knows that they can't afford to make mistakes.
Even if by chance they compromise on Dira by focusing on Yash-Mohena, TRPs will drop the next week+ fan backlash will be terrible. And the PH will immediately react and try to recover as they can't afford any TRP drop. And never try that again so ultimately, it will only be good for Dira. I believe that fans + TRPs has always helped to keep the show on track and prevented this PH from reaching the irrecoverable stage.
Moreover, the fact that last week's TRPs were 0.7 should have demonstrated how Dira is the TRP-gainer for their show. The last time the TRPs were 0.7 was during Diya's malkin week, when there were many twists and turns. The fact that TRPs were 0.7 despite there being not that many twists and turns, shows that Dira-centred drama brings TRPs, so I'm sure the PH will never give that up.
My main concern is that fans' panic may affect the show negatively. Because of our panic, the PH may panic too and react negatively by editing scenes/ compromising characterisations/ logic, affecting the show's quality. That's why we should also relax a little so that it doesn't affect the PH and the show.
