I was just posting a comment in one of the posts when this thought came to my mind.
In case of diya -abhay, diya told what all are her expectations from her husband but she feels that abhay doesn't have any expectations from me so I don't need to put in any effort or do anything extra, she feels she will do all the usual stuff which all married women but nothing extra from my side as abhay also doesn't expect, without discussing with abhay she concluded herself that abhay doesn't want anything from her. Here I feel diya is taking abhay and their relationship very lightly. If u truly love someone I feel you always want to find out what the other person likes or dislikes or what are his expectations, but here diya is not much interested I think rather she is like let abhay do the entire thing in this relationship.
But when Dira will fall in love, I am sure alongwith ratan diya too would want to change few things about herself, she might start doing things to impress him or make him happy like she might wear that short dress for his happiness, in this relationship diya would first time actually want to do and give everything to her partner and involve herself also as much as she can rather than only her partner doing everything for her.
