There is a saying in Hindi which goes like "Jaldi ka kaam. Shaitaan ka". It means hurry can ruin things.

Even Abhay's sister said something similar to Ratan in the episode where he went to convince them for marriage.

In his hurry to make sure he does not need to marry Diya, Ratan went ahead and did some damages.

It is obvious that neither Diya nor her father were expecting that Abhay will want to marry her after all the fiasco 12 years ago and whatever happened more recently.

Ratan's intervention not just let Abhay and his sister enter the equation but also took away the opportunity to fix, REALLY FIX whatever was wrong between Diya and her parents. They never had enough time to give air to their intentions, grievances and come to a resolution.

Acceptance which is conditional is not acceptance at all. The moment that condition cease to exist, it will be taken away.

And Ratan took away Diya's chance of making up with her parents for what she is instead of what she is ready to do for them.

If he would have waited, it would have been a different story. Diya and not Ratan could have given the apology (which Abhay deserved, even if they are giving a negative tinge to his character right now, he was jilted at that time and insulted recently.)

She could have made peace with her parents and might have chosen to work instead of marry. (I recall how Isha's words work offers for Diya from top hotels)

But in his haste to make everything right, he might end up messing everything.

Will end this long post with an English proverb "Marry in haste and repent in leisure"

Kuch defiantly bura hone wala hai.
This tracks are giving me those fake engagement type feeling. When they were in an unbreakable state than KM changed the paper and broke (for 1 and half day) their friendship.
I think history will repeat. Histories biggest lesson is, no one learns history.
