There is no blooper in this. The father had sent his son to London and made sure he would return after 12 years only once he turns 21 and not before that, so he knew if the killer will be caught it's gonna be after 12years that's why in one flashback he tells diya that I want 12 years of your life for my son

What's so illogical in this?In India a boy would be considered adult at the age of 21 both as per the society and the Constitution..When Maan Singh sent his son to London Ratan's age was 9 so obviously after 12 yrs he would be 21yrs old..No need of any pehredaar at this age..and as per the promise given by Diya she will catch the culprit in those 12 yrs..So there is no blooper here

I think the promise was only till Ratan turns 21. Beyond that he is considered legally mature to take his own decisions.

Nd as per law now he can be legally be owner of his property
Nd diya is free after 12 years as ratan can now be legalised as authorised signatory

True!

It was not Diya's responsibility to make sure he is safe after he is old enough to take care of himself. It was implicit that if an 18 year old can guard someone a 21 year old can take care of himself too.
