I liked the fact that after signing the documents without checking or reading them once (In case of property transfer to Diya), Ratan did not repeat his mistake.

And was he rewarded for it! He noticed how Raghu made them only in his name and managed to use it against him and Kaki Ma sa.

For a change, a male lead who is impressionable but not stupid.

Maker's are trying to make Ratan character matured. I liked the fact that they are doing this gradually and logically. Like the situation you mentioned, he did that because of Diya and fake document incident. If it had never happened he would never fell the necessity to check document when Raghu told him to sign. There is a saying in our language, which is properly goes with this situation of Ratan "A bold person doesn't shave his hair second time"

Ratan might be immature due to lack of experience but he isn't dumb
It is the circumstances which even proves smartest person to be dumb and helpless sometimes(like diya on fake engagement day)

And that's a relief. I am tired of supposedly super intelligent businessman (or as serials likes to refer them as tycoons) who are extreme level idiots in other serials we got a smart guy who is not sure of his footing in a new place and weird surroundings. So far!

I am keeping my hopes up because so far writers have not disappointed us (in spite of the Bhagh Milkha Bhaag episodes in last two weeks)
