For the first time Ratan used his brains when Kaki Masaah and Raghu kidnapped him.

He used the chain to distract Raghu and putted gun on his head. But in vain. Again when he learnt the truth that KM is the main culprit he didn't became emotional foo,l he read the paper and said that Raghu is betraying KM.

Now the fight scene, Ratan was fighting to save some one(I never thought it would be KM, I thought he would fight to save Diya) and fighted with Raghu till end.

So the summary is, the whole scene was not so heroic like other hindi film or serial but it was fully logical and natural.This is actually what happens when a 21 year old fight, as for all these years Ratan was always around Diya/heavy protection. Today for the first time he tried to save himself all by own plus he tried to save KM also. Good job Ratan 👏

Because of Diya's accident Ratan did learnt something.
