This article says that Yash is happy with Ratan coming back. But he gets jealous to see closeness between Diya & Ratan. It will be later reveled that he loves Diya...

hmm... but turning negative is too early, i think
yash is diya's friend since 15 years we are yet to see some special bonding between yash and diya and their friendship.
ratan already have cruel enemies, he ll breakdown if his childhood friend also turn against him.
but as you said... it could be a fake news lets see
