that's what I love about Rishta so much...the sitcom format...it works wonders for US television (Friends,Two and a Half Men,Full House etc) and I really hope it does well for Indian television as well
I agree with mits002 with the rural setting shows...I have no problem with them BUT enough is enough...enough of the sari clad shows....enough with the 10000 divorces and murders and resurrections..... I agree that all the YRF shows are meant for an urban audience but thanks to housewife shows and saas bahu sagas...urban audiences don't want to watch them at all...in fact all of my cousins only watch US shows....none of them want to watch the shows because its enough of the crap on television right now..... heck even some of the "urban" shows have turned into saas bahu sagas (like DMG and MJHT)
I dont care about the low TRPs because that's what they will get with any new show....it takes time for a show to build an audience...I just hate the fact that Sony doesnt give a damn about this at all...I mean please just let the show go on....it has a loyal fan base and it will garner popularity IF they promote it well and also word of mouth....remeber Bidaai...it has low trps when it started and now look where it is....(I hate that show so much but it worked for them)....I mean please Sony please dont end all the YRF shows!
