Madhavi & Anupam go to ACP Mehra and ask him to register that case. He is flustered. Madhavi tells him that by supporting those criminals he is going against law. He should register the case for rape and acid attack.
At Vicky's home his dad is scolding his friends and him for acid attack. ACP Mehra tells them that now he has to take some action because acid attack happened in front of NCCW people. Dad asks him to help them one more time. He is ready to offer money. ACP tells him to ask those goons to accept the crime.
In court opposition lawyer argues that those goons threw acid on Shaina so they are to be punished. Madhavi says that Vicky and friends gave money to the goons to do it so they should be punished. She says now they should be punished for rape and acid attack. She says that on 5 April 2005 Vicky and friends raped Shaina. Later they were arrested but ACP Mehra set them free. Those guys were angry at Shaina for pressing charges so they planned acid attack. Opposition lawyer says that his clients don't even know Shaina. Madhavi calls the pub manager to witness box. Pub manager says that on 4th April he saw Vicky misbehaving with Shaina. Opposition lawyer calls Shaina to witness box. He asks her why she went to pub daily? She stands there quiet. He says that's because Shaina is a prostitute. There is murmur in court. Lawyer argues that prostitutes have no self-respect so how can she even file a rape case? He also tells court that Vicky and friends were in Pune the said night and provide their Pune hotel bills. So how could they rape Shaina? Madhavi argues that anyone can forge those bills. So she requests court to order Dr.Mahajan to do medical examination of Vicky and friends. Judge agrees and asks for medical examination.
At NCCW Madhavi gets a letter from Justice Mehta (founder member of NCCW) about this case. He says that since Shaina is a prostitute and prostitution is a crime in India the case is very sensitive. They should handle it very well. Some journalists come there and ask Madhavi if NCCW took this case for cheap publicity? Madhavi says everyone is human first and justice should be done equally to all irrespective of their profession.
Next day in the court Dr.Mahajan says that there was no rape but only sexual contact with Shaina. He has no evidence about rape. Madhavi is shocked. Opposition lawyer says that Shaina is a liar and she should be punished. Madhavi asks court for 1 extra day. Court grants.
That night Madhavi and Anupam go to Dr.Mahajan's house and ask him why he changed his report? Latter says that he was getting many threatening calls. Madhavis tells him to go with truth and finally he agrees.
Next day in court Dr.Mahajan says that he lied first time and now going to tell truth (as far as I know it is considered invalid in court if you keep changing your argument) He confirms that Shaina was raped and also has evidence that Vicky and friends did it. Opposition mocks at Shaina that may be she needed more money so she filed the case. Madhavi object to that and says that sex without consent is considered rape in all situations. Court rules that Vicky, Manoj and Sunny get 7 years in jail for rape and 2 years additional for acid attack. Those goons who threw acid get 3 years in jail. He also says that prostitution is a crime so NCCW should help Shaina to start a new life.
Outside the court when the press congratulates NCCW and ask what Shaina will do now. Madhavi says that she is offering Shaina a position in NCCW's bal siksha program. Shaina thank NCCW.
