Well guys as promised, I have come with the analysis of the first two cases of Reporters which were separately dealt by Kabir and Ananya. Perhaps these were the only cases which the two dealt with, separately.

Pramila Radheshyam Case: This was the first case done by Ananya Kashyap in which, a pregnant woman gets detained on her way to hospital for delivery duet o American President's arrival in India. This was a complicated case since, any emergency would have definitely proved to be fatal. Although, there is no law regarding this but the matter discussed was indeed praise worthy since, it raised a question of common people coming into problems due to the security provided to the celebrities.

Nandlal sweeper in City Club : According to law, an employee who is physically impaired and has been working for more than couple of years in an organization, is entitled for General Provident Fund and Gratuity. In the case of Nandlal, the physically impaired worker, who was shown working all his life in the city club of which Khalid happens to be the secretary, Kabir stresses on the same legal aspect when, he, in a way, demands from Khalid when he meets him later in the evening, that Nandlal should be given PPF and gratuity for not having worked for the club throughout his life but also his earlier generations. In an organisation, an employee does hold some rights and the right of Provident Fund and Gratuity comes under the same.

Hi Shaily, thanks for the analysis.. To be honest, I didn't watch the first few episodes, ever, till now. I was always under the impression that I did not missing much :)

After reading your analysis, I actually went back to check the first few episodes..And agree..Bang on analysis..

It is unfortunate that there is no law to protect the rights of the citizen who are impacted as a result of the security measures put in place to protect the VVIPs. To get adequate and proper medical aid, in time of need, is one of the fundamental rights as a citizen, and to be deprived of the same should be a punishable offence.

Irrespective of how many announcements are made about the traffic restrictions, there are some critical patients who need a doctor or an ambulance at short notice. That said, I did come across some humanitarian stories at times like this, when the police go beyond their call of duty to help the citizens in need. Hats off to them. They give us hope. and hats off the media which highlight both - the instances where someone was neglected and also the time when the police go out of their way to help...

Coming to the PF case, a lot is yet to be done. There are a lot of offices where this rule is openly broken, causing a lot of trauma for the employee. The reason behind the employee keeping quite is 1) they don't know the rules which can protect them and 2) corruption in the government offices. Sad reality, but corruption is like a white elephant in the room...everyone notices but nobody talks about it.. including the media, as most of the time, they are also hand-in-glove with the same government officials..
